'I've been a beauty editor for 8 years. These are the 9 things I always I have in my makeup bag.'

Everyone has a tight group of failsafe products they keep (and use) (a lot) in their makeup bag. It's the kind of stuff you can put on your face on autopilot.

At the risk of sounding like an absolute twat, I'm lucky to be gifted lots of lovely products to trial. Because part of my job involves trying new beauty products and tools (sounds like a made-up job, but I promise it's more than just testing lipsticks, Mum) — so, my makeup products are always on high rotation.

Watch: 'I tried the lube makeup trick. And the results kinda surprised me.' Post continues below.

But this doesn't mean I get an unlimited supply of whatever products I want for eternity.

Y'see, when a new product launches, the brand will usually send it for review. I'll try it and if I really like it, I'll tell you about it and recommend it. And then if I really like it, and use it to the very last drop, I'll purchase it myself.

Meaning? I do have some tried-and-true essentials that I purchase time and time again.

So, I thought I'd share them with you.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, $105.

Image: Supplied

As someone who receives hundreds of new foundations to try, there's only one I repeatedly spend my own money on.

This. This is the one.

I purchase it on repeat. In fact, I even convinced Leigh Campbell to try it.

It's beautifully lightweight and silky and honestly feels like you're wearing nothing at all — that second-skin kinda feeling. It offers light to medium coverage and I LOVE the fact that I can wear it and you can still see my freckles underneath.

I like to use it as my 'good' foundation for when I go out because it's awful spendy. The good news? It goes on sale pretty regularly, so keep an eye out!

Bobbi Brown Corrector Stick, $57.

Image: Supplied

I'm so sad it took me so long to use a colour corrector, but I guess I never came across one I liked enough to continue using it? Or maybe my dark under eyes are now more pronounced? Hard to say. But this one came along and changed the game for me.

The formula is creamy, non-cakey and *actually* camouflages and neutralises the undertones of my eye area, making me look fresh and awake. Plus, it lasts! Which is honestly just very polite.

If you struggle with dark under eyes, this one's for you.

Benefit Gimme Brow+ Eyebrow Gel, $48.

Image: Supplied

As I've mentioned more times than possibly necessary, my brows have the tendency to take up half my face. This is my go-to product to tame them. I use it every day. It's hands down the easiest way to nab better brows —  it's a gel situation that tints, volumises and makes them look neat and tidy,

The best part? There's no farting around — a couple of swipes and you're done. Easy as pie.

Rimmel London Kind & Free Moisturising Tint Foundation, $19.95.

Image: Supplied

This is my one of favourite everyday foundations, you guys. I talk about it at *least* three times a week.

The formula is hydrating, non-cakey and feels totally lightweight on your skin. I also really like that you can still see my freckles and quirks underneath, yet it's still lovely and buildable if you want a little more coverage.

Plus, it's nice and affordable. Love.

Charlotte Tilbury Quick and Easy Makeup in 'Super Chic', $99.

Image: Supplied

The kit contains three cream stick products — an eye, lip/cheek and highlighter wand. There are five different looks: 'Super Chic' is my fave.

I absolutely love how foolproof these products are. You can just use your fingers and apply everything in a second, making you look like you put in way more effort than you did.

Chanel Baume Essentiel, $71.

Image: Supplied

THIS. It's a multi-use glow stick that I've been obsessing over for yonks. It gives your skin the healthiest, most natural-looking radiance, and is a brilliant little multitasker — perfect for using on your face (cheekbones, cupid's bow, the bridge of your nose), your eyes and your lips.

I just swipe it on and blend it with my fingers and it makes my skin look dewy, juicy and like I actually drink eight litres of water a day. There are a few different shades, but my favourites are 'sculpting' and 'transparent'.

Holme Beauty Primer, $65.

Image: Supplied

Have you tried it? HAVE YOU? This was the first product to come out of the Holme Beauty range — and I'm absolutely never not having it in my makeup kit.

I wear this daily  — either on its own over SPF for lovely and natural glow, or layer it under foundation to make my base look dewy and fresh.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, $36.

Image: Supplied

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb is up there as one of my holy grail products. It is! It really is.

Worn alone or layered over lipstick, it makes your lips look plump and beautiful in seconds. There are six different shades, and you honestly can't go wrong with whatever you choose.

My faves? $weet Mouth or Diamond Milk.

Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Beauty Light Wand, $60.

Image: Supplied

Yes! More CT. Gah — she's obsessed. But seriously, I have in my makeup kit for a very good reason. I *literally* use it every. darn. day. Because it makes me look more alive in an instant.

A delightful highlight/blush combo, it's the easiest way to light up your face for a beautiful, healthy glow.
