Mamamia recaps Married At First Sight: A cheating scandal completely unravels.

To catch up on all the Married at First Sight recaps and gossip, check out the MAFS hub page. We've got you covered.

Bronte's moving back in with Harrison and I don't know about you, but I am so sick of this particular garbage fire.

Meanwhile, everyone else is gossiping about how cute Claire and Jesse are.

Jesse is telling us how much he likes Claire. He mocks her laugh, but this time it's in a sweet and endearing way! This truly is one of the greatest character arcs in television history!

But, this is MAFS, so producers have just grabbed a giant spanner and they're violently throwing it into... the works?

BECAUSE UH OH.

Claire has woken up feeling guilty because Jesse likes her and she's got a secret.

GODDAMNIT CLAIRE WE WERE JUST STARTING TO THINK THAT MAYBE WE CAN HAVE NICE THINGS.

She visits Sandy seeking advice and says that the night they all went to the pub – the night Jesse was convinced she cheated with Adam – was also the night SHE DID ACTUALLY CHEAT WITH ADAM.

CLAIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(But also I knew it, that explains why it felt like the most unsatisfying conclusion to a cheating scandal we've seen on this show).

WELL.

This very much re-contextualises both Claire and Adam's responses, of calling Jesse out for his insecurities and turning it into a him problem, doesn't it!?

Imagine telling our episode two selves that in episode 14 (I know, we are only three-and-a-half weeks in. I'm so tired) we'd be sad about ick list Jesse being gaslit by the group.

You know what's on MY ick list? Cheating! Gaslighting! Adam, just broadly!

Claire reveals Adam has been pressuring her not to say anything, but she'd rather go out a hypocrite than a liar.

So obviously you GOTTA tell EVERYONE

WE HAVE NEWBIES.

Everyone's invited to another wedding, and Adam has the AUDACITY to offer ADVICE about FOCUSING ON YOUR OWN RELATIONSHIP and OKAY MR CHEATER CHEATER PUMPKIN EATER.

We meet Tayla, a nurse from Tasmania. Selfishly, her addition poses issues for me because I'd only just learned the difference between all the other blondes.

The long and short of her intro package? She cannot compromise. On anything.

The man she will not let choose dinner is introduced as Hugo. He is a walking, talking labrador who really loves his mum.

Next up is Evelyn, a model from Sydney who does not want to date a magician. Or a cheater.

She is matched with romantic tradie Rupert whose religious parents aren't on board with his choice to go on MAFS. This is odd considering how much this show does for the sanctity of marriage, but I respect their boundaries.

You're doing amazing sweetie

It's the wedding day and Tayla is in her dress, wondering if she should just go to the pub.

Probably, but it's too late for that. You're in the hands of producers now!

Luckily she has a very reassuring, supportive bridesmaid.

"Probably not though"

Hugo says he signed up to the show because he wanted to seize the day and the worst that can happen is that it doesn't work out.

BUDDY.

NO.

The worst thing that can happen is weeks of humiliation on Australia's most talked about reality TV show. Someone probably should've told you about that.

Tayla's full mental breakdown in the back of the limo is the perfect example.

Imagine this entire scene going to air, I would cry

Side note: as an intruder, would it would annoy you that less of your real-life friends could come to your fake TV wedding because other fake TV couples need to fill the seats? Or would it be... good... because of the aforementioned humiliation in front of the nation? Much to ponder.

Their meeting goes well, if blurting out that you had a goat with the same name as your new fake husband is... well. Hugo says he's a Capricorn, so it fits.

SHHHHHHH HUGO, JESSE IS SITTING RIGHT THERE.

Tayla's vows are accompanied by a stabby horror film sound. Hugo's are not.

So this one is bound to work out.

"Help"

At the other wedding, Rupert drops the rings before even making it down the altar and offers his new fake father-in-law a limp handshake.

This one is bound to work out too!

In her vows, Evelyn says she believes their paths crossed for a reason. She is right. That reason is 'another one of John Aiken's bright ideas'.

Rupert's vows are, much like his entire demeanour right now, frazzled. He makes a sex joke! You CANNOT MAKE A SEX JOKE IN YOUR VOWS! I HAVE BEEN TO LIKE, ONE (NON-FAKE) WEDDING IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. AND EVEN I KNOW THAT.

The poor guy is the most nervous human to walk the face of the earth and Evelyn is disappointed by all of it. Even his name.

"Frosty and I had real good chemistry actually"

Meanwhile, Jesse LOVES being at a wedding.

He reckons his and Claire's wedding was the best of them all. He's right of course, if you disregard that time he hated her crystal gift, personality and voice.

You cannot rewrite history! I have receipts!

Claire feels terrible about watching this possibly happy (but probably not) relationship bloom at Tayla and Hugo's wedding, while she's been a dirty, dirty cheater.

She goes to the bathroom to LITERALLY THROW UP.

Oh, god.

At the other wedding, Rupert is continuing to be the most awkward person ever. I find it very endearing. Another thing for me to work through with an expert who is not John Aiken.

Evelyn straight up says she's going to need more from him than one-word answers and chuckles, which, look. Fair.

He says his pickup line in a bar would be "you owe me an espresso" and POOF! Any endearment I had was gone.

I would like to once again reaffirm my earlier prediction: this relationship is going to go sooooo well.

RUPERT I AM GOING TO NEED YOU TO SORT YOURSELF OUT

Elsewhere, Tayla has just made an enemy out of me.

I can condone being unable to allow anyone else to choose what to have for dinner, but I cannot look past hating cats.

Thankfully, we don't have to dwell on that truly hurtful information much longer because JESSE and CLAIRE and CHEATING, REMEMBER?

Sandy's checking in on Jesse, who thinks Claire is getting genuinely sick and not just sick with guilt.

"Do you have any insight for me?" he asks, and Sandy splutters her way through a very suspicious response about 'getting through things' and 'moving forward'.

We quickly check in with Evelyn and Rupert, but it's just a front for us to see how well Adam and Janelle are going.

Mid-reception, Claire pulls Jesse outside for chat.

HERE WE GOOOO.

"That night that we all went out and Adam and I went outside, we kissed," she says.

The music gets VERY horror film and JESSE STARTS CACKLING.

There's something so sinister about angry laughing, I'm so here for it

He says he knew something was sus but he thought (with their encouragement) that he was just being jealous and overly sensitive BUT HE WASN'T.

"I thought you were pulling me out here to call it off, to break up with me," he says. "I couldn't have imagined anything worse than that, and then, you actually said something worse than that."

OOOOF.

See you – and Jesse confronting Adam!!!!! – tomorrow.
