The last season of Married at First Sight may have ended six months ago but the contestants are certainly still making headlines.
Since the series wrapped up, we’ve witnessed social media feuds, unexpected relationships, countless Instagram brand endorsements and even a pregnancy to another reality TV star.
Yep, it’s been… a lot.
But it looks like the drama won’t be ending any time soon.
Watch the moment Cam saw Jules for the first time on Married at First Sight below. Post continues after video.
In case you missed it, Jules and Cam – a.k.a the shining light of love that MAFS needed among the cheating scandals and fruit bowl throwing – were married for real over the weekend.
Neither the couple nor their guests, however, have shared any photos, given that the wedding was sold exclusively to Tuesday night’s A Current Affair.
But as with anything to do with Married at First Sight, there’s drama that has leaked well beyond the events of Sunday.
In the past few weeks alone, we’ve heard stories about Jules dumping her bridesmaid and ex-Married at First Sight co-star Mel via text as well as claims that the couple have been asking for ‘freebies’.
Here’s everything we know about Jules and Cam’s wedding so far, all in the one place.
You can thank us later.
The wedding was postponed.
After meeting on Married At First Sight, Cameron Merchant, 35, and Jules Robinson, 37, decided to get married, but like… legally.
Although the wedding was originally set to take place in mid-September to mark their one year anniversary, the couple later postponed the wedding.
Mamamia’s daily entertainment podcast, The Spill, discuss Cam and Jules’ televised wedding. Post continues below.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Jules said planning the event so quickly was “too much, too soon”.
“It was a romantic gesture and we booked a venue on that and ended up losing our $5,000 deposit but I just thought – yeah that’s not going to happen anymore.”
Posting to Instagram at the time, Jules further explained why she postponed the wedding.
“For the record we did cancel our wedding this month. For one reason only… it was too much too soon and I wanted to be a bride that enjoys the process of planning a wedding, and not be one that moans about it,” she wrote.
“It felt too rushed to do and everything happens for a reason.”
Instead, the couple were married in Sydney on Sunday, November 18.
Jules dumped her bridesmaid Mel via text.
When Cam proposed to Jules on Married at First Sight, Jules soon asked her co-stars Mel and Heidi to be her bridesmaids at their ~real~ wedding.
Since then, however, Mel is no longer Jules’ bridesmaid.
Speaking to NW Magazine, Mel said that she believes Jules only asked her to be her bridesmaid for publicity.
“One day we were texting about family and babies, then two days later she was dumping me as a bridesmaid,” Mel told the publication.
“She was posting about how amazing it was and how much she loved me, but it was clearly all an act. I feel completely blindsided by this, as our relationship and everything was real to me.”
According to Mel, Jules sent her a text to let her know she would no longer be her bridesmaid.
“Not only was the text cold, but she used our friendship for her own publicity. She tried to blame it on me, saying I was a sh*t friend,” Mel said.
“When I asked her how I was a bad friend she couldn’t answer me, then kept changing her reasoning behind it.”
After the news was shared, fellow Married at First Sight contestant Jessika Power weighed in on Instagram, which is pretty unsurprising considering how much Jessika and Jules clashed on (and off) the reality show.
“I actually have to back Mel on this,” Jessika wrote.
“Throughout filming Jules would say Martha and I are only there for social media and endorsements but since the show ended it seems that’s all Jules is for also,” she added.
“It’s really sad to see that Jules dropped Mel as a bridesmaid but not surprising, it seems everything that woman does these days is calculated and beneficial for her and her only.”
On Instagram on Sunday, Mel shared that she didn’t attend the couple’s wedding at all.
“I’ve had so many messages and people keep asking me what the story is. So yes, it is true, Jules dumped me as a bridesmaid,” she said.
“As for why, I’m honestly not sure… she kept changing her reasons and none of them made sense,” she added.
“It really all just came out of the blue and I didn’t see it coming at all. of course, you’re allowed to change your mind about who you want as a bridesmaid, but I just feel like the way it was done was really cold and rather hurtful.”
Mel also added that she felt publicly humiliated because the wedding is being televised.
“I guess it just makes the public dumping of you as a bridesmaid for no reason that little bit more embarrassing, hurtful, confusing,” she continued.
“I wish I was never asked to be a bridesmaid in the first place so I wasn’t in this position.”
The wedding will be televised.
For months, it’s been rumoured that Jules and Cam’s second wedding could be televised.
Speaking to NW back in May, a source claimed: “[Jules’] full priority is making the most money from the wedding as possible. It’s become a full time job. She thinks she will make thousands. There’s even talk she’s planning on having it televised.”
In September, New Idea also claimed that the couple’s wedding will be televised on Channel Nine.
According to the publication, the pair are getting married on November 16 in Sydney – rather than their original location of Hunter Valley.
“Hunter Valley was proving to be too difficult,” a source claimed.
“They needed somewhere central, so it was logistically easier to film. It was going to be too costly for the whole crew to travel so far away. It was one of the terms when they signed the deal with Channel Nine.”
This week, it was announced that the couple’s wedding will be broadcast during a special extended edition of A Current Affair on Channel Nine on Tuesday November 19 at 7pm.
The 90-minute special features the wedding day, as well as behind the scenes footage from the wedding planning process.
Following the news, Daily Mail claimed that Jules has reportedly told guests that they are banned from sharing any photos from the wedding until over a week after the wedding has aired.
The publication also claimed that the couple have issued their wedding vendors non-disclosure agreements, to ensure details of the wedding aren’t leaked prematurely.
The couple have apparently been asking for ‘freebies’.
This week, the Daily Mail reported that Jules and Cam apparently asked a small business for ‘freebies’ for their wedding day.
According to the anonymous source, the couple contacted the vendor about obtaining complimentary wedding services in exchange for a plug on Instagram and a mention on Channel Nine’s ~rumoured~ coverage of their wedding.
According to the Daily Mail, however, the business refused. Yikes.
Cam and Jules’ wedding will air on A Current Affair on Channel Nine on November 19 at 7pm.

I had not heard about the dumped bridesmaid but I did feel at the time that it was a bit hasty asking them to be her bridesmaids as surely you have family and real friends you would want in that role? It did feel a bit staged but a part of me wanted it to be true. I feel a bit like jules sold out signing up to be WW ambassador too when she went on about being happy with herself and her body (which is amazing) but her body is her own business. As for asking for freebies, good on them for trying but not surprised the answer was no.
