According to News Corp’s Confidential, a Channel 9 spokeswoman has confirmed that a number of couples will be involved in the on-screen scandal.

Listen to Clare Stephens and Kelly Glover discuss the latest episode on The Recap podcast: It’s the show to listen to straight after you’ve watched Married at First Sight.

Apparently things don’t go too smoothly for Cheryl and her new ‘husband’ Jonathan, who is said to be caught giving his number to another contestant.

OMG, Jonathan, did those totally not at all real marriage vows you exchanged with Cheryl three seconds after meeting her mean NOTHING to you?

The show's "insider" said that things "get ugly" when Cheryl discovers the betrayal.

"Cheryl goes crazy, she is not one to take things lying down," the source told Confidential.

It's also rumoured that Cheryl "gets her revenge" on her fake husband by cheating with someone else's fake husband.

POTENTIAL SPOILER: It's Andrew - the groom who had the runaway bride. #SorryNotSorry.

While Channel 9 spokeswoman confirmed the scandal, it remains to be seen how it will all unfold on our screens. And who knows, maybe a little partner swapping is just what these fake marriages need to lead to true love?
