The $21 viral gloss treatment that will give you your shiniest hair ever.

From skin to lips to eyelids, giving everything a 'glass' effect seems to be the number one trend taking over the beauty world. Now, we're adding hair to the list.

Yes! Having your hair resemble a streak-free pane of glass is all the rage. Whether you have straight or wavy, dark or light hair, this trend is all about achieving that same glossy, mirror-like shine from root to tip

And okay, it sounds like something only achievable with expensive salon treatments, a celebrity hairstylist and an entire lighting crew, but if you know us, we're all about finding budget-friendly alternatives that deliver equally amazing results.

And goodness, have we recently discovered some goodies! (We have).

On a recent episode of You Beauty podcast, Kelly McCarren and I dished out our favourite product to achieve highly reflective, glossy hair without breaking the bank.

It's quite literally the easiest way to get shiny hair, instantly. In fact, you might've seen the range doing the rounds on social media already...

It's the L'Oreal Elvive Glycolic Gloss Leave-in Serum (currently on sale for $21) and the L'Oreal Elvive Glycolic Gloss Lamination Rinse-Off (on sale for $26).

Kelly said, "I am obsessed with the rinse-off treatment you use in the shower. Holy... my hair has actually never felt glossier instantly."

And honestly, I can back this up. While I haven't tried the shampoo and conditioner just yet, I've been using both the in-shower treatment and the leave-in treatment, and my hair feels softer, shiner and just looks healthier.

In fact, it might just be the best thing I've ever used on my hair. Just check out certified trichologist (hair expert) and queen of glossy hair content, Abbey Yung's review here.

Told ya it was some good stuff.

Also, the smell! It's like a mix of berries and florals and it made me realise just how much I missed the scent of L'Oréal hair products?!

To give you a run-down, the in-shower lamination formula has this milky pink consistency and can be used after shampooing and conditioning your hair. You wait five minutes, rinse it out, and the results are meant to last up to 10 washes, so you don't have to use it every time you wash your hair.

You can also use the leave-in hair serum after washing you hair to up the glossy shine (which also gives your hair a nice hit of hydration).

As someone who struggles with damage, dullness and frizz (I use a lot of heat tools), this duo has not only upped the shine of my hair, but it's also made my mop way more manageable when it comes to styling.

If you're struggling with damaged hair that looks a little meh, I'd recommend giving it a whirl (and keep an eye out for the discounts — they're always on special at the chemist or supermarket).
