A tragic death and a bitter custody battle: The lives of Lisa Marie Presley's four children.

It's been almost two months since the news broke of Lisa Marie Presley's passing. The 54-year-old died from cardiac arrest, just two days after attending the 2023 Golden Globes.

Riley Keough, Presley's eldest daughter, said she hopes to raise her own daughter the way her mum raised her.

"I'm a product of your heart, my sisters are a product of your heart, my brother is a product of your heart," Keough wrote in a letter read out at her mum's funeral.

It's particularly bittersweet timing for Keough, as this week her new television miniseries Daisy Jones & The Six is premiering on Prime Video. There's a significant amount of hype around the miniseries and for Keough, considering this is one of her biggest roles to date. But she's having to celebrate it without her mum.

Along with Riley Keough, Presley also had three other children of her own: Benjamin Keough, Finley Lockwood and Harper Lockwood.

She previously described herself as being "ferociously protective" of her kids, sharing in an interview with Healthy Living: "I just smother them in love."

Here is everything to know about Lisa Marie Presley's four children.

Riley Keough, 33.

Danielle Riley Keough was born to Lisa Marie and her former husband, musician Danny Keough, in 1989. She's the eldest grandchild of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley.

In her teenage years, Keough gravitated towards modelling, representing high fashion brands such as Dolce & Gabbana and Dior.

"I was like, "I'm going to try and model, get my own money, and then I'm going to finish school, and I'm going to start acting after I'm 18, because I want to be a kid,' she told InStyle

Sure enough, in her early twenties, she pivoted towards acting.

She first appeared in The Runaways alongside Kristen Stewart, before starring in movies such as Magic Mike, Mad Max and American Honey.

"I went on a movie set and saw that you don’t have to talk loudly and put on this giant flamboyant show when you’re making a movie," she told Women's Wear Daily.

"It's the most comfortable place for me. Obviously the first day of shooting is always really scary, but when I'm doing it, it's just the best feeling in the world and the most comfortable I am at any point."

In another interview with Nylon magazine, she talked about her mother steering her away from the limelight in an attempt to have her children lead a 'normal' life.

"She was like, 'I don't want you growing up like another Hollywood celebrity daughter.' She was so not about that life, you know?"

"She didn't really put attention on it. It was there. We'd get photographed doing stuff, but I didn't see a tabloid until I was 15."

In a 2021 interview with InStyle, the 33-year-old also shared how her mother encouraged her to forge her own direction in life.

"I grew up with my mom saying, 'Anything you do in life, you're going to have to take it seriously, and work really hard at it, and be really good at it. Don't just dip your toes into things'," she said.

"Which is my nature anyway, with acting and with things I want to be doing. I also had this thing where, when you grow up in LA and everyone's acting, I felt this sense of... I was a little bit afraid to fail."

The actress was previously engaged to British actor Alex Pettyfer. She met her husband - Australian stuntman Ben Smith-Petersen - while working on Mad Max: Fury Road in Sydney.

"I was just out of a relationship that I needed to recover from, so definitely wasn't looking for anything," she told Vogue about how they first met.

"Ben was on set and I saw him. It had been a year, and he just felt more grown up and there was something about him. I was like, "Oh wow." He felt so much more mature."

"It felt like I didn’t want to be away from him. I just felt so comfortable."

Keough and Smith-Petersen got married in 2015 in California.

More recently, Keough has continued to pave her way as one of Hollywood's biggest rising stars, appearing in movies such as Zola, and the Devil All The Time.

Despite her family's musical roots, Keough said that she isn't the strongest singer. But that didn't stop her auditioning for Daisy Jones & The Six.

"I think I blacked out on that meeting. I don't really remember what happened. And then I auditioned like everybody else, and lied to them and told them l could sing," she told People.

Benjamin Keough, 27.

Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was the second child born to Lisa Marie and Danny Keough, in 1992.

In 1994, Presley and Keough divorced. In an interview with Star Tribune, Lisa Marie shared how they always remained close friends.

"I don't know how, but we've managed to stay close... There are others that I have pain or betrayal associated with that I won't have anything to do with. But he and I had a special thing. Unconditional," she said.

As a teenager, Keough attempted to launch a music career, reportedly signing a $5 million deal with Universal Music. However, he never released any music publicly.

He appeared in Elvis by the Presleys documentary in 2005, and Rod & Barry in 2017.

While Riley became a rising star in the entertainment industry, her younger brother Benjamin largely avoided the spotlight.

As the only son of Lisa Marie, fans and family regularly commented on his uncanny resemblance to his late grandfather, Elvis Presley.

"Ben does look so much like Elvis," Lisa Marie said in an interview.

"He was at the Opry and was the quiet storm behind the stage. Everybody turned around and looked when he was over there. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny."

In 2020, Benjamin died by suicide. He was just 27 years old.

In an interview with The Post, Lisa Marie’s manager, Roger Widynowski, said that following her son's unexpected death, “she is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Benjamin was buried at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.

He was buried alongside his grandfather, Elvis Presley, his great-grandmother mother Gladys, great-grandfather Vernon and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley. Lisa Marie Presley has since been buried next to her son too.

Reflecting on the loss of her son on the anniversary of his death, Lisa Marie shared a photo of Keough along with a raw and emotional caption.

She wrote, "My beautiful, beautiful angel, I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven. My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day. I will never be the same."

"Please wait for me my love, and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley. I know you would want that. Happy Birthday my sweet sweet Boy. You were much too good for this world."

In her last Instagram post, Lisa Marie shared an article she wrote, sharing her experience with grief over losing her son.

She captioned her final post, "In honour of it being National Grief Awareness Day, I wrote an essay about Grief which was posted today on @people. I thought I’d post it here in the hopes that anyone who needs to hear all of this it helps in some way."

Harper and Finley Lockwood, 14.

Born in 2008, fraternal twins Harper Vivienne Anne and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood are from Lisa Marie's fourth marriage to Michael Lockwood.

In an interview with People, Priscilla Presley shared she was present at the birth of the twins, calling the two baby girls "very, very beautiful," adding that she was "very thrilled" about becoming a grandmother again.

In 2016, the couple filed for divorce. What followed was a dramatic and ongoing bitter custody battle that stretched on for years. Amid the feud, the twins were placed in protective custody and went to live with their grandmother, Priscilla.

"There is lots of confusion, commotion and concern from all the talk circulating," Priscilla shared on Facebook.

"Let me put this to rest… the girls have not been in foster care and never will be. The girls have been with me and will be until all this is sorted out."

The twins are now 14 years old and lived in California with their mother before she passed away.

During COVID, Lisa Marie shared a photo of her twin daughters and a puppy, writing: "We’ve been fostering pups from a shelter. Exhausting but so rewarding. Be well."

While the twins are rarely seen in the spotlight, they joined their mother, older sister Riley and grandmother, Priscilla Presley, when Lisa Marie was honoured with a handprint at the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles in June 2022.

It marked one of the first public events where all three generations had appeared together.
