While we were all frantically buying last-minute gifts and digging into Christmas ham, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were getting married.
The musician and actor tied the knot in what was apparently a small, casual ceremony on December 23 in the US (Christmas Eve, here) six years after first becoming engaged.
Rumours the pair had finally gotten married began to swirl when Miley’s friend Conrad Carr shared a photo of her and Liam cutting a cake – she in a white dress, he in a black suit – on his Instagram Stories. In another image, the words ‘Mr and Mrs’ can be seen spelled out in balloons.
We mean, it was pretty undeniable evidence.
But it was only on Thursday morning that the singer confirmed the news herself, by posting black and white photos of herself and her new husband kissing and dancing, the last of which she captioned “10 years later…”
The 26-year-old was referring to the pair’s first meeting on the set of the 2010 romance The Last Song.
