It’s that time of week again – Best and worst.
It’s Friday. Which means two things: The weekend is near, and it’s time (f0r my personal favourite) ‘Best and Worst’. Grab some tea, a biscuit and settle in to share the best and worst bits of your week.
I’ll kick us off. And because it’s been one heck of a week I’m going to be selfish and have two bests.
1# Les Miserables.
Les Miserables is now showing at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney via Les Miserables Press kitFor the past day I haven’t been able to stop singing. In fact – I’m answering most of the questions coming my way in song. Example:
Q: How was your day?
A: One day more! Another day, another destiny. This never-ending road to Calvary…
Q: What are you having for lunch?
A: Do you hear the people sing? Singing a song of angry men? It is the music of a people who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart echoes the beating of the drums there is a life about to start when tomorrow comes!
You may think I’m joking, but I’m not. You see I was lucky enough to go and see Les Miserables in Sydney on Wednesday night. And it blew my mind. I’m currently scouting tickets to go and see it again. And again. And again.
Here’s a photo of me looking pretty chuffed during intermission:
Full joyous smile because it was amazing.I couldn’t recommend it more – it’s the perfect holiday treat for kids and adults. Find out more about it here.
#2 – Our new site Debrief Daily.
We also launched a new website this week. Debrief Daily is the latest site from the Mamamia Women’s Network – aimed at women over 40.
I’m lucky enough to be working on it as site producer – alongside our publisher Mia Freedman and Senior Editors Sarah MacDonald, Bern Morely and Dina Kluska.
If you haven’t checked it out already – do so right here.
And in terms of worst? Mine would have to be all the horrible news lately – including all those people who lost their lives on the Germanwings flight.
But that’s enough from me – what have been the best and worst bits of your week?
Pssst. Hey you, there. We need some real, honest answers about the way you feel about yourself. It’s anonymous, it will only take a couple of minutes – and you will go in the running to score free movie tickets. Click here.

I just have a question and I'm not sure where else to put it. Is there any way of turning off auto-play on the videos on MM? Between the vids and the pop-ups my internet is really slowing down when I click on the articles.
It all depends on the browser you are using, eg Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari etc.
This site may help you.

You champion random dude! Thank you
Thanks Keyla - I know how frustrating it is, hope one of those solutions worked for you :o)
Best: Hadn't even considered Netflix but then realised if I upgrade my broadband I'll get it free for six months. Kids are killing our internet anyway so basically we can go unlimited for just $5 more per month. I'm not a big TV watcher but I'm excited about this!
Worst: Hello? Anyone there? How's your week been? *crickets*
I dont bother posting much anymore because a) half of it doesnt get posted b) it usually gets posted the next day which kinda defeats the purpose in my mind.
Still love mamamia but find the site hard to navigate at times. Also, alot of posts dont seem to get much comments these days which is disappointing.
