Is this fashion designer the woman who came between Beyoncé and Jay Z?

Beyoncé dropped her highly anticipated new visual album Lemonade.

The album (which is only available on streaming service Tidal. Because Yoncé does what she wants) features strong references to the singer’s relationship with husband Jay Z, and his past indiscretions.

The Formation singer hints a the identity of the other woman with the lyric, “he better call Becky with the good hair.”

A few hours after HBO aired the premiere of the visual album, fashion designer Rachel Roy (with whom Jay Z has been linked in the past) shared a post on Instagram that appeared to suggest she might in fact be ‘Becky’.

“Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always… Live in the light #nodramaqueens,” she captioned the image.

Unsurprisingly, Beyoncé ‘s die-hard fans, the BeyHive, were quick to pick up on the cryptic comment.

“I think we found “Becky”!” commented one.

“You messed with the wrong artist h*.” said another.

According to screenshots acquired by The Daily Mail, comments quickly derailed into threats with comments such as “Becky’s gonna have her hair and her whole career gone,” quickly flooding the designer’s feed.

Roy then took to Twitter writing, “I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind.”

Roy is the ex-wife of music producer Damon Dash. Until the pair fell out, allegedly as a result of cheating rumours, Dash was Jay Z’s business partner.

The now infamous security footage of Beyoncé ’s sister Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z in an elevator after the Met Ball in in May 2014, is also rumoured to be linked to the rapper’s close relationship with Roy.

A source told Hollywood Life back in 2014 that “Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay’s friendship with Rachel to be WAY too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable.”
