LEIGH CAMPBELL: 'I finally tried the viral $40 foundation that's like a filter in real life.'

If it feels like there's a beauty product that goes viral every other day, you're not wrong. And it can't be hard to know what's really worth the hype and what's just a lot of social media buzz and BS.

Take, for example, the viral K-Beauty TirTir Cushion Foundation

Ring a bell? Course it does, it's everywhere.

Dubbed the 'best cushion foundation' on the market, the reviews are glowing. In fact, we've even written a whole tried and tested article on TirTir Cushion Foundation before.

So when Mamamia's beauty expert Leigh Campbell got her hands on the buzzy formula, we couldn't wait to hear her honest thoughts. And she shared them on a recent episode of You Beauty podcast.

Watch: Speaking of foundation, here's what happened when we tried the 10-pump foundation hack. Post continues below.

She told Kelly, "My savey is a foundation that's new to me, and I think new to you, Kelly, because we were sent a DM a little while ago by someone on Instagram. It said, 'I heard you two rave about this foundation!' — and we were both like, huh? We haven't heard about it? It must have been a guest on another show."

"First, I Googled it. I was like, 'Wowee, this is viral.' So, I bought it. It is a Korean cushion foundation. It's called the Mask Fit Red Cushion Foundation."

"It's $40, I bought it off Nudie Glow, because that's pretty much where I buy all my A-Beauty, J-Beauty and K-Beauty products. The articles I read said it's the Paris filter for your face. It makes your face look so filtered. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...."

So does it really make your face look filtered??

"Look it does," said Leigh. "It is very, very, very good for the price. I got it for $31.50."

Listen: Forget concealer, Leigh has finally tried a viral Korean foundation that's like a filter in real life. Post continues below.

The key to a flawless base with this foundation? Hydrated skin.

"I don't use the little puffy thing that comes with it — I've been using a foundation brush. I make sure my skin is quite hydrated with my skincare underneath because it really is smudge-proof. Once it sets, they say it's got incredible 72-hour makeup endurance," Leigh said.

"It's really good for under eyes as well. I feel like I don't really need a concealer. I just use it all over. It's kind of satin finish, but not cakey, not drying. I don't need to powder it down. I really, really like it. It's got fancy skincare stuff in there, of course, antioxidants, propolis and flower extracts — because obviously, Korean beauty loves skincare infused in everything."

We love a skincare and makeup hybrid!

"It's really good. It says it blurs imperfections, reduces redness, and you get a silky smooth, radiant finish. I would agree with that. It's not super, super dewy, but you can definitely kind of tweak the finish depending on what skincare you've got underneath," she continued.

When it comes to finding your match, there are 30 different shades available online.

Leigh said, "I'm 204w, soft beige, for reference. Anyway, I just am obsessed with K-Beauty, and I reckon this is a really good foundation. Good all-rounder, good for travel, good for touch-ups."

So, there you have it! A viral product that's actually worth the hype. Go forth!
