Unfortunately, some of us aren't blessed with naturally long eyelashes.

And, with all the options on the market, from mascara to fake lashes to semi-permanent eyelash extensions – it can be easy to think the problem is solved.

However, some of us don't have time, money or patience to pull off having big ol' eyelashes every day.

That's where LeCil DIY Eyelashes comes in.

LeCil has revolutionised the game by offering an opportunity to step up our lash game... from home.

The Australian brand makes affordable, reusable and convenient DIY lash extensions that last for up to 10 days and look like the real thing.

Yep, you read the right.

In fact, anyone can become a professional.

Upon hearing these claims, we decided we wanted to try them out for ourselves. Below, we share our honest reviews after testing the out the LeCil DIY Eyelashes for a week.

Shannen has only ever used mascara on her lashes.

I'll be honest, I'm not very good at lash application.

I have many friends who are qualified in applying makeup professionally. I've studied their techniques and I've tried to master what they know and incorporate it into my own life. But, time and time again, I fail miserably.

Because of my... lack of ability... I've always stuck to my tried and tested method: mascara. But after a few days of putting it off (and when I finally ran out of mascara), I decided to set my fears aside and try to apply LeCil DIY Eyelashes to my own eyes.

I was nervous, but my personal LeCil starter kit was fully equipped with everything I needed to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible.

There was a fan (very fancy), an endless supply of lashes to choose from (helpful), a specifically designed lash applicator, separate tubes filled with a bonder and a sealer to make sure my lashes lasted. It also included a lash safe remover which is super handy when it comes to protecting my natural lashes, upon removal.

As terrified as I was, there was nothing more pleasantly surprising than finding out... I am not incapable of the job at all.

Each lash is customisable – I could change out just how dramatic I wanted to be with my lashes and add flair wherever I want to.

With it being my first time, I found it a little nerve-wracking to apply. But, I found the lash bands to be incredibly durable. If I wanted to peel them off, give them a wipe and try to get closer to my lash line, it was super easy to do. I found the LeCil lashes to be incredibly beginner-friendly.

I may never become a professional lash tech, but I could definitely get used to looking as glamorous as I did for the nine days I wore the LeCil DIY Eyelashes.

Lisa is a lash extension newbie.

Okay, let me start by saying that I am a complete lash newbie! I have never had extensions and have worn strip lashes maybe two to three times… EVER.

So when the LeCil DIY Eyelashes kit landed on my desk, I was excited and intrigued.

This kit promises a salon-quality finish in less than 10 minutes, and the best part is you can do it from the comfort of your own home.

Sounds way too good to be true right? I thought so too.

I have relatively long lashes but feel that they can sometimes lack volume, so what I was really hoping to achieve was a natural yet noticeable enhancement of my lashes.

My first impression was that the lashes were stunning, soft and fluffy. The band holding the clusters together was virtually invisible. It made the lashes super comfortable to wear and allowed them to blend in with my real lashes easily.

I used two clusters of the LeCil LUX A.14 for the outer corner, 2 clusters of A.12 in the middle and then one single A.10 on the inner corner. I found this combination gave me a naturally enhanced lash look I was hoping for.

The set was super easy to apply once I got the hang of it and they lasted for seven days.

That meant I got one whole week of gloriously fluffy lashes. I couldn't feel them, but everyone could definitely see them.

I was so impressed with my kit and will be wearing my lashes until further notice.

Jessica is in a very committed relationship with her lash tech.

After YEARS of well over an hour-long, fortnightly sessions at my eyelash tech, hundreds of dollars of taken from my bank account and naturally sparse lashes – I gave up on being an 'eyelash extension girl.'

As my lashes and bank account recovered, I kept feeling the urge to get my lash extensions again.

Alas, now there's no need because I discovered LeCil’s DIY eyelashes.

I was most nervous about the application process – I assumed it would be tedious. But, I found the complete opposite with LeCil’s DIY Eyelashes. All I had to do was apply a thin layer of the bond and hold the lash to it for a few moments.

I allowed myself 25 minutes to apply both lashes. I was shocked when I was finished just in time for MAFS, with the process end to end – It took less than 30 minutes.

Needless to say, I have been converted. I am absolutely obsessed with the result, the process and how much money I saved.

I am officially an 'eyelash extension girl' again.

Say hello to the convenience of LeCil DIY Eyelashes. These easy to apply lash extensions give you long, luscious lashes that last up to 10 days.
