Tom Cruise hosts parties fit for a four-year-old, apparently.
UPDATE: The Leah Remini memoir is the gift that keeps on giving. The latest celebrities to be drawn into her tell-all Scientology circus are power couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Remini has revealed that a night at Tom Cruise’s place isn’t all champagne and sparkle, with guests forced to play the weirdest game of hide-and-seek we’ve ever heard of.
An extract from Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology reads:
As the dinners continued and we spent more time with Tom, I came to think of him as a big kid with his loud laugh, high energy, and goofy ideas of fun. Like when he invited some Scientologists and a few other celebrities like Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, to his house and announced he wanted to play hide-and-seek. At first I thought he was joking, but no, he literally wanted to play hide-and-seek with a bunch of grown-ups in what was probably close to a 7,000-square-foot house on almost three full acres of secluded land.
“I can’t play—I’m wearing Jimmy Choos,” I said.
“Well, good,” Tom said with his signature grin. “So you’re It, then.” And with that he tagged me and ran to hide.
“Huh?”
Leah Remini on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
We all suspected the blame for the demise of TomKat could be attributed to Tom Cruise’s controversial religion, and now Leah Remini is confirming it.
The actress, 45, is speaking candidly about Scientology, a religion she followed for more than 30 years before her defection in 2012.
Remini’s book, Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, is released today and to promote it, she’s done several in-depth interviews.

She told Good Morning America that Katie Holmes left Scientology to protect her daughter with Cruise from the religion.
“I know now [Katie] did what she did because she had to protect her daughter, which in a way connects us,” Remini said, adding that she also chose to leave the church to protect her daughter, Sofia.
“I didn’t want my daughter to choose the Church.”
Remini has recounted how, after Tom Cruise’s wedding to Holmes, she shared a car to the airport with his two children with Nicole Kidman, Isabella and Connor.

When we are discussing Tom Cruise movies we'll say things like "You know, when he was cute, before he got all creepy and weird."
I'm not a fan of organized religion/cults at the best of times, but Scientology freaks the bejeebus out of me.
It sounds like a massive scam taking advantage of insecure Hollywood stars. $300000 for "reprogramming"? How is that not a scam and how are they allowed to operate? Sounds like heavy psychological tactics/brainwashing involved.
