1. “All of a sudden there were six doctors in the room”: Matty J on the “scary” birth of his little girl.
Matty J from The Bachelor has spoken for the first time about the birth of his daughter Marlie-Mae Rose on this morning’s Nova 96.9’s Matt, Sarah & Matty J breakfast show.
The birth occurred two weeks past the due date, causing an induced labour, which Matty described as “quite aggressive”.
“As Laura was about to give birth they then realised the baby was…it was facing the wrong way, and the heart rate was beginning to drop a little as well,” Matty J recounted.
“All of a sudden we went from having just a nurse and midwife in the room, to two seconds later we had one doctor and an obstetrician come in, [and] all of sudden there were six doctors in the room.”
He continued: “You don’t really know what is going on because it’s your first time, next thing they are saying, ‘We need to get this baby out now, come on Laura big pushes’.”
Matty J further recalled, “the only thing you want as a parent is to have a healthy child, it was really quite scary in the final moments when Laura was giving those final pushes, thankfully we didn’t have any major complications.”
The former Bachelor star praised his fiancée Laura, saying “she has just taken to motherhood – a duck to water… She is doing really well, she is such a trooper.”
2. Royal Feud update #274: Meghan and Harry sent Prince William a “cold” birthday message.
Right now it would seem that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can't even breathe without Royals fans presuming it is a definitive sign that they are breaking up with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The latest speculation comes after the Instagram account of William and Kate, Kensingtonroyal, posted a photo with a caption that read, "Thank you everyone for your lovely wishes on The Duke of Cambridge's birthday!"
The post attracted even more well wishes, and one - you see - was from the Instagram account of Meghan and Harry.
"Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!" the Duke and Duchess of Sussex commented below the photo.
Cue: Break up rumour #274.
"So cold and impersonal!" one critic wrote in response to the comment.
"It's your own brother, why the need to be so formal?" another added.
And just one more for good measure: "Wouldn't wishing your brother more gentle. This reads like there is hostility."
There really is nothing Meghan and Harry, new parents to their son Archie, can do right now without it being taken as a hostile move.
The speculation comes after Kensington Palace confirmed on the Thursday that the foursome are parting ways from their joint charity The Royal Foundation.
3. Former Australian Idol judge, Dicko, admits he lived up to his name on the show.
Ian "Dicko" Dickson was Australia's answer to Simon Cowell, known for his tough and often brutal remarks in his role as a judge on the first season of Australian Idol.
But now in an interview with news.com.au on Saturday, the former judge has evidently done some reflecting, revealing he was perhaps too tough with the contestants.
"I don’t think these days there is an appetite for a complete arsehole on TV anymore, not when it comes down to young kids having a go," he told the publication.
"Most of the kids were just having a crack really, and it’s hard to look back and think I covered myself in glory."
Dicko, now 56, said although he was honest in his comments, he admits he "was using honesty as a blunt implement just to create a splash for the show".
"The whiff of blood in your nostrils is also not very nice, and it’s even more appalling when you realise you’re getting used to it."
4. Breaking: Singer Halsey has armpit hair.
Excuse us, but we have some very important news: There is a famous woman who has (mildly) hairy armpits.
Singer Halsey is on the cover of Rolling Stone where her armpits have been left unedited, with a touch of stubble showing.
And the internet is losing their minds over it.
One lovely person wrote, "thought you were a millionaire just buy some wax".
But for all the negative comments, there are even more positive comments, and many from celebrities who are praising the singer.
Demi Lovato commented, "There [is] so much yes about this picture idk where to start".
On Twitter, singer Zara Larsson wrote, "I loooove the fact that they didn't edit the armpits like most magazines would do. Women are not little babies who don't have body hair."
5. "I’m, like, scared of you." Kylie Jenner's call to Jordyn Woods after the cheating scandal.
Shhhhh.
We have waited 493 days to hear how Kylie Jenner responded to the Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson scandal that rocked the Kardashian-Jenner clan to its core.
And excuse us but please take a seat because we have video footage of the exact conversations that took place from within the walls of the Kardashian abodes.
For a quick recap, Jordyn Woods kissed Tristan Thompson, the partner of Kylie’s half-sister, Khloe Kardashian.
The cheating moment was the catalyst for the break up of two relationships: Khloe and Tristan, who share daughter True, and best friends Kylie and Jordyn.
Now, thanks to this little-known show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, we can see how the whole thing played out.
While talking with her sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian, Khloe tells them she “knew who he [Tristan] was”, but she “never in a million years thought that’s who [Jordyn] was.”
Read our earlier article on Kylie's phone call with Jordyn that has all the details.

#2, I’m sure I read that Harry and Meghan were criticised because their message for Prince Louis was too *informal*! So, whatever they do, they can’t win.
The criticism has actually been that *all* of their greetings to other royals have been very informal. So, a departure from that - particularly when concerning a close family member - is notably obvious. These are people who allegedly have social media advisors - they can't easily claim ignorance here. Either they are playing games, or they are totally ignorant of optics (unlikely).
To be fair, whoever is curating the SussexRoyal insta account has made a very conspicuous and unpopular point of using informalities in sending online salutations to senior royals (ie calling them as they would privately "Granny" and "Grandpa" for the Queen and Prince Phillip), as well as affixing emojis to their posts. As such, when they choose not to lay on the Kardashian social media treatment when they send a birthday greeting to another royal, they can hardly complain when people see something in that.
