A famous guest list and lots of glitz: Inside Kyle Sandilands and Tegan Kynaston's wedding.

Kyle Sandilands is officially married.

Sandilands and his partner Tegan Kynaston wed this weekend in an elaborate ceremony in Sydney.

The couple, who share son Otto together, married at the stunning heritage-listed home Swifts, which is a late-Victorian castellated Gothic Revival property in the heart of Sydney.

There were plenty of Australian public figures among the 130+ guest list as well, including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Karl Stefanovic, Guy and Jules Sebastian, Samantha Jade, and of course Sandilands' co-host, Jackie O Henderson.

Prior to the wedding, Sandilands shared some of the behind-the-scenes details about the big day, saying it had proven to be quite a costly shindig.

The flowers cost $150,000. The catering was another $100,000, with reports suggesting $35,000 of that is for caviar alone. And there were also personalised napkins featuring part of the radio host's family crest, costing the couple somewhere between $10,000 and $15,000.

Sandilands also paid for all the musicians' interstate flights, transfers and accommodation - and the hire of much of many instruments, that didn't come cheap. Guy Sebastian also performed for the couple's first dance.

The couple's son Otto was also dressed in a suit with Sandilands' family crest emblazoned on it.

Sandilands said his bride's wedding dress cost around $50,000, while the suits for the bridal party and page boys cost more than $15,000.

Last but not least, Sandilands said the wedding cake totalled at $9400, describing it as a "five-tier monster".

He told his co-host Jackie O Henderson weeks earlier that he hadn't anticipated the wedding would cost that much; the event rumoured to cost around the $1 million dollar mark.

Sandilands also admitted that he hadn't realised the difference between a wedding planner and a wedding stylist — so had hired both at a cost that shocked even him.

"I made the mistake of telling those ladies, who said, 'Okay, what budget are we dealing with?', that there was no budget. After they left, Tegan goes, 'Why on earth did you say there's no budget?' You know what she's like, she's not a frivolous spender. She doesn't like waste," Sandilands recounted.

And given all the snazzy shots coming out on social media from the big event, it certainly does look like a $1 million dollar wedding.

Arriving at the event, Jackie O Henderson said: "Finally he's settling down, he's a happy man, it will be a happy day."

She said on KIISFM that it was a "very beautiful" night.

"The chapel looked stunning, Tegan looked incredible and it was just very emotional when she came down the aisle and Kyle got a bit teary. It was a beautiful ceremony. Everyone is so happy for them and it was really good vibes."

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and New South Wales Premier Chris Minns — who both attended the event — mostly avoided the sea of cameras outside the wedding venue.

Albanese had been fending off criticism for accepting an invitation to the wedding. Some were upset that the Prime Minister was attending the overtly lavish event, amid a cost-of-living crisis and the upcoming budget.

It was also pointed out to the Prime Minister that convicted drug smuggler Simon Main and former Kings Cross nightclub owner John Ibrahim were among the bridal party.

"Yes, I was invited to the wedding, yes I was invited in the context of Kyle saying how happy he was with Tegan," Albanese said.

"I enjoy weddings and I will be going to the wedding."

It comes after a comment earlier in the week from Albanese, who praised Sandilands as an "Australian success story" for lifting himself out of homelessness.

When asked whether he would be a DJ at the event after weeks of rumours, Albanese confirmed he would not be performing in any capacity, just attending as a guest.

Sandilands and Kynaston have been together for almost four years now.

In December 2019, Sandilands started dating Kynaston, who was his previous personal assistant.

Speaking with Mia Freedman on No Filter, Sandilands said he and Kynaston had known each other for a long time before they found a romantic spark there.

"She happened to be single at the same time I happened to be single and I think we just admitted to each other that there are feelings here. I didn't even bring it up first because I'm really her employer... So she asked me, 'Why did we never date?' And then it just sort of developed slowly from there. It was nice. It came from a real friendship place," he said.

In January 2022, the pair announced they were engaged. Sandilands had proposed to Kynaston while on holiday together in Port Douglas.

Soon after, the couple shared they were expecting their first child together. In August 2022, their son Otto was born.

Reflecting on how parenthood has impacted him, Sandilands said that when Kynaston found out she was pregnant, he was "thrilled".

"I never had that desire, you know, 'Oh, I wish I had a baby.' I was always work, work, work, work. But I was over the moon — quite excited and nervous. And I remember when we brought him home from the hospital, we looked at each other and I said, 'F**k, we should have bought a book or read a book, or something like that'," he said to Who Magazine recently.

"It's a very different emotion when you have a child. And [Kynaston] she's been amazing."
