The perfect summer sandal is a lot closer than you think.

More precisely, it’s sitting pretty at your nearest Kmart and they can be all yours for the fabulous price of $15.

Presenting to you, the ‘Almond Toe Mule Flats’, which are ready to soothe your swollen and sweaty summer feet with their loose woven design and breezy slip on style.

The slides are available in three neutral and very wearable colours – black, beige and tan – and you can bet they’re selling out fast online.

Thanks to Aussie celebrity stylist, Donny Galella, we also know that slides are going to be a major trend for summer, given how versatile they are.

“We’re still seeing a lot of slides around. You can’t go wrong with a metallic slide. They’re a go-to shoe,” he told Mamamia.

Personally, we can see these braided versions paired with jeans and a linen button-up for a relaxed work-appropriate look or worn with a wrap-dress or loose, wide-legged pants for a comfy weekend ensemble. Really you can pair them with everything in your wardrobe – shorts, skirts, overalls, pinafores and playsuits.

The opportunities are endless.

Kmart also has a few other summer sandal styles that are catching our fancy. For those who prefer open-toed styles, then perhaps this cross-braided sandal is more up your alley, or if you’re a bit more adventurous with your style, these tiki-inspired rattan slingbacks are like a trip to the Maldives for your feet.

Real talk though... how many sandals are too many sandals??? Image: Kmart.

But from just $10 - $15 a pop, maybe we can call it a summer wardrobe investment and take one of each.

Is it just us or is Harry Styles copying Cate Blanchett's style? Ellen makes a very convincing point.
