PSA: If invited to Kim Kardashian's beauty launch, you better give a damn nice review.

Unless you’ve been living in a social media blackout, you’re probably aware of the fact that Kim Kardashian West launched her debut makeup line KKW Beauty last week. Said launch, however, has been marred by controversy that refuses to settle thanks to rumours the reality queen snubbed a beauty blogger who panned her products.

Sharing countless photos of herself alongside prominent beauty bloggers who attended the product’s launch party last week, Kardashian West wrote on Instagram, “I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me celebrate my @kkwbeauty launch. I got to meet so many new people and loved hearing everyone’s in person reviews of my creme contour kits.”

The kits, which sold out within minutes of going on sale, included a double ended creme contour stick, a double ended highlighter stick and a double ended applicator.

Naturally, Kardashian West tagged the bloggers featured in her images. That is all except Youtube star Jackie Aina.

Interestingly, Aina was also one of the first beauty bloggers to share a mixed review of the KKW Beauty products.

During a 20-minute-long Youtube review, Aina's criticisms included the amount of product included in the kits versus the price (AU $63), the shade of the highlighter stick, the blending tool and the timing of the release, saying "the highlighting and contouring train has long left the beauty community".

Aina did, however, also called the collection "beautiful," at one point saying, "this is what I'm living for Kim, this is what I came here for... this is absolutely beautiful."

She also applauded the colour range and said Kardashian West "did really, really good in terms of inclusiveness," and credited the 36-year-old with putting highlighting and contouring on the map and beginning the trend.

Within hours of posting her review, fans of both Aina and Kardashian West were up in arms, saying the mum-of-two had deliberately failed to tag Aina because of her review.

"It doesn't surprise me that Kim Kardashian untagged Jackie Aina from her Instagram post bc Jackie gave her makeup product an honest review," one Twitter user wrote.

"So Kim K posted about her event & tagged EVERY beauty guru there except Jackie Aina?? There's like...no subtlety here," another agreed.

But, true to form, Kardashian West wasted no time in putting the rumours to bed, replying, "I would never post someone’s pic on my page and then intentionally not tag them."

She explained, "When I uploaded the album I was tagging everyone that came to the party and for some reason it wouldn’t let me tag Jackie’s name. I figured I would just try again later, but then I realized you can’t add tags after the album is posted! I hung out with @jackieaina in my home and she was super sweet!! I love that she has an opinion and I’ll take what she said and use it to better my products."

In a photo posted to her Instagram account following the launch, Aina wrote, "Kim invited us into her home and was super sweet and professional."

Got that? There's nothing to see here, folks.
