Kit Harington's new play is so raunchy, the theatre is tampering with the audience's phones.

Just when you thought you'd seen everything, in comes Kit Harington with his entire kit out (pun intended).

The Game Of Thrones star has made some interesting moves throughout his acting career, so it's no surprise to fans that his next endeavour is a stage show in London's West End.

What is a surprise, is the content involved in that show.

Written by Jeremy O. Harris, Slave Play is about race, identity and sexuality in the twenty-first century. It tells the story of multiple interracial couples who attempt to work out their problems through a kind of unorthodox role-play therapy.

The content lends itself to nudity, of which there is a lot throughout the show.

As a result, it seems all anyone can talk about is Harington's intense sex scene which sees him go completely nude on stage for 10 minutes.

While it's a major part of the play and Harington had no qualms about doing it, the theatre has implemented some strict rules to ensure the sex scene doesn't get filmed and distributed online.

For one, staff at the theatre are putting stickers over audience members' phone cameras to stop them from filming.

Attendees also face prosecution if they're caught recording.

"The sex scene Kit's in is quite shocking. There are lots of mirrors on stage so the audience can see his tackle from all angles," a source told The Sun.

"The scene lasts more than 10 minutes and bosses seem very concerned about it being recorded and leaked online — hence the stickers.

"Management really want to protect his modesty so they’ve threatened legal action if anyone is caught filming.

"Kit is a true pro, though, and doesn’t break character when he sheds his clothes...He seems to be very comfortable in his own skin."

This isn't the first time Harington has acted in nude scenes. In 2016, the actor filmed them for the series Game of Thrones.

However, he has previously said that he would only take on those scenes if they serve the story, rather than simply doing them to cultivate a heartthrob image.

"To always be put on a pedestal as a 'hunk' is slightly demeaning," he told Page Six back in 2015.

"It really is, and it's in the same way as it is for women. When an actor is seen only for her physical beauty, it can be quite offensive. I'm in a successful TV show in a kind of leading man way and it can sometimes feel like your art is being put to one side for your sex appeal. And I don't like that."

He added: "In this position you get asked a lot, 'Do you like being a heartthrob? Do you like being a hunk?' Well, my answer is, 'That's not what I got into it for."'

The theatre's decision to use stickers on phone cameras makes sense, considering that in the past, actors haven't always been properly protected.

In 2021, Grey's Anatomy actor Jesse Williams stripped down for his role in Take Me Out. But despite audience members being asked not to record, his nude scene found its way on the internet and quickly went viral.

Hopefully, this new move will prevent such a situation occurring for Harington.
