Of all the places, where would you expect Kimye to honeymoon? Not here.
Kim and Kayne landed in their surprise honeymoon destination today – Ireland. Yes, you have that right, the couple that can choose any destination chose the “Emerald Isle”.
They are rumoured to be staying at the luxurious five-star Castlemartyr Resort (pictures below) – despite the staff “not commenting” on whether it was Kimye who booked the Presidential Suite of the 17th century resort. Castlemartyr boasts 10-room treatment spas, fitness studio, a Ron Kirby-designed golf course, four restaurants, and 800-year-old castle ruins.
They won’t be away from North for long though – the couple return to the States on Friday.
In case you didn’t hear – Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got married on Saturday in a modest little ceremony at the Forte di Belveder in Florence, Italy, after almost a week’s celebrations in Paris, France.
Obviously unable to decide between two of the most iconic and exclusive locations in Europe, the understated parents decided on a palace-crawl – a pre-wedding party at Paris’s Palace of Versailles (see below for details), before flying their 600 guests to Italy in a private jet on Saturday morning for the official shindig at Florence’s Forte.
Now details of the ceremony are surfacing thanks to the guests’ love of social media. Kim’s mum and sisters have been Instagramming up a storm with pics from the reception’s photo booth (see, they are just like us), which is where we got to see Kris Jenner’s, um, eye-popping outfit.
The pair married in front of a wall of flowers (more than $100,000 worth, from Florence’s oldest florist, decorated the Forte), world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli performed, and both the bride and groom wore Givenchy. Nothing fancy, then.
In true Kardashian style, Kim had two dresses: a custom-made mermaid-silhouette gown in delicate white lace for the ceremony, and a short, cream-coloured Givenchy dress for the reception. Eleven-month-old North West didn’t miss out on the label, wearing a Givenchy white lace dress to match Mum.
