UPDATED: Rove McManus and Tasma Walton welcome their first child.

Congratulations are in order for Rove McManus and Tasma Walton who have welcomed their first child into the world.

It was an early Christmas present as Tasma gave birth to Ruby Aurelia McManus last Monday, December 16, at 9.01am, more than two weeks ahead of her January 2 due date.

McManus told Fairfax: “While she arrived slightly earlier than expected, she is healthy and more importantly it means she’ll be here to spend Christmas with us, which is the best present you could wish for.”

We hope that the family has a lovely first Christmas.

Pippa Middleton engaged!

According to US Weekly, “The British event planner’s boyfriend, banker Nico Jackson, popped the question during their early December trip to India’s Oberoi Amarvilas, insiders share. (Oberoi Amarvilas is a five-star resort, with views of the famed Taj Mahal.)”

“It was exactly how he planned it,” one source tells Us of the proposal. “Very romantic and grand!”

Together for 15 months, the couple were first rumored to be engaged back in September.

Kim Kardashian shared a photo of North West on Instagram and speculation has been rife this morning that she has waxed the six-month-old’s eyebrows. Fans and/or haters took to social media to weigh in on unibrowgate.

Kardashian has responded to the controversy be tweeting, “Do people really think I would wax my daughters eyebrows so young? Come on, I’d wait until she’s at least 2 1/2!”

Cue more outrage from humourless Twitter users, forcing KK to again respond with another tweet: “I’m kidding!!! Its pretty sick for people to insinuate that I would wax my daughters eyebrows. They are thick, natural and amazing!”

Katy Perry and John Mayer dish on their relationship.

The Academy has released its star-studded list of 75 songs up for nomination, with Beyonce nominated for her song “Rise Up” from the animated feature Epic. Jay Z is nominated for his Great Gatsby hit  “100$ Bill” as well as Lana Del Rey’s Gatsby hit “Young and Beautiful.”

Also making the cut are Ed Sheeran’s ‘I see Fire’ from the Hobbit, and Coldplay for their song ‘Atlas’ in this years Hunger Games.

The final nominations will be announced on the 16^th of January, with Oscars night on the 2^nd of March.

1) Fifi Box and Grant Kenny (Lisa Curry’s ex husband) have a baby together, Trixie. 2) Woman’s Day ran a cover story, Fifi and Grant: Baby number two already! 3) The eagle eyes over at News Ltd spottedf that on the same day the Woman’s Day issue came out, Lisa Curry updated her Facebook page with a cryptic message: “Breathe in … Breathe out … Repeat …” that could’ve pertained to well, anything really. 4) Three hours ago, Lisa Curry posted another status saying, “Seems SOME journalists are analysing my “cryptic” FB posts and making up more stories in the media….Well here’s another one you can analyse….LEAVE GRANT ALONE.” 5) Curry then told New Ltd the Woman’s Day story was “untrue” and “I’m not sure how they can get away with headlines like that.” “Leave Grant, Fifi and poor little Trixie alone.” 6) Woman’s Day is now crediting a “close friend” as saying: “Fifi would love to have a baby boy with Grant. They’re in a really good place and Fifi would love nothing more than to give Trixie a little brother. Lizzie McGuire actor dies.

Lizzie McGuire actor Daniel Escobar has died. He was 49 years old.

Escobar died last Friday of complications from diabetes while in a Los Angeles hospital, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Escobar is best known for starring on the Disney Series Lizzie McGuire as Mr. Escobar, which he also reprised to the role in The Lizze McGuire Movie and also  appeared in Malcolm in the Middle, NYPD Blue, Two and a Half Men, Weeds and How I Met Your Mother.
