Kim Kardashian reveals her go-to beauty products.

There’s not a lot the world doesn’t know about Kim Kardashian. For several years now, every aspect of the reality TV star’s life, from her wedding to her famous derriere, has been up for public consumption. Or has it?

In an interview with Into The Gloss this week, Mrs Kardashian West revealed quite a secret: her beauty routine. It seems pretty tame in comparison to the other big scandals of her life, but it’s always a little bit pervy to find out exactly what famous women put on their faces.

Kim Kardashian’s wedding makeup is surprisingly affordable

You’d assume someone as wealthy as a Kardashian would be bathing in fresh caviar and washing her hair with Veuve Cliquot, but some of the items in Kim’s (very lengthy) regimen are surprisingly everyday. You might even own some of them already. Look at you – you’re basically Kim already! Well… minus the million-dollar wardrobe, that is.

Here are some of the things we’ve learned:

1. She uses makeup wipes

“I always need a makeup wipe,” the 34-year-old says. Join the club, lady. Her go-to wipe is… Neutrogena’s Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes.

“They take off everything but really gently—even mascara! I used to just go on a flight, fall asleep in my makeup, and not care. Now I really wash it off—first with a wipe, and then I use the By Terry Pureté de Rose Refreshing Cleansing Gel,” she says.

2. Her signature scent is rose

“My fragrance right now is rose, and all of the scents in our Kardashian Beauty and Kardashian Beauty Hair lines are rose,” Kim tells Into The Gloss. We wonder if that was also her wedding fragrance of choice?

3. She has dry skin and psoriasis

If you also have dry skin, Kim’s choice moisturisers might interest you — although they might also burn a hole in your wallet. Her picks are Guerlain Orchidée Impériale The Rich Cream (which costs, um, approx $450), Natura Biss? C+C Vitamin Cream and Shakti Resculpting Body Cream (around $115 and $155 respectively. Ouch).

Not surprisingly, Kim likes to experiment with different products. “I’m always researching different products, and I always try so many different things. I don’t just stick to one face wash or moisturiser,” she says.

4. She washes her hair every five days

Dry shampoo addicts, prepare to feel vindicated: Kim admitted she goes several days without washing her hair. Five days (!) to be precise. Although when you read how she does it, you'll understand having stylists on hand makes it a little easier.

"We start out with a blowout on day one, then we go into a messier vibe the next day, and then we flat iron it and do a really sleek look on day three since that requires a little oil in the hair. Day four could be a slicked-back ponytail, and on the fifth day is when you wash it. That’s a little excessive, maybe.”

5. Yes, she wears false lashes

Oh thank God - for a while there we just assumed Kim had been blessed with preternaturally long lashes. Turns out we're not the only ones faking it til we make it.

"I wear false lashes during the day sometimes," Kim says, adding that the Individualist Lashes from the Kardashian beauty line happen to be very good. (Fancy that). Mascara-wise, she loves Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara.

6. Her contouring secret weapon is...

Kim Kardashian and contouring are synonymous. We already know how Kim contours her cleavage, so what does she use on her face?

"I always contour my nose, and I love to contour my cheeks — the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit is great for that," she says. *Adds to cart*

For those who are a little scared of contouring, Kim also shared her favourite foundations and the brush she applies them with: "I love Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and Joe Blasco Ultrabase Foundation—it’s a really old school, heavy foundation ... If you were to look at my makeup bag right now, it has a little MAC 182 Buffer Brush, and there’s also a bigger kabuki brush that I have to find on eBay because it covers my psoriasis really well."
