Earlier this year, it felt like lob fever was taking over the world, with every celebrity, work colleague and neighbour seemingly stepping out with the chop of the season. Then it went quiet.
Now, Khloe Kardashian has decided that the lob is officially back. Yes, Kardashians seem to wield this sort of power in Hair Land.
Celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin shared the picture of Khloe’s textured shoulder-grazing cut on her Instagram account, with the caption: “Guess who just joined the #ShortHairDontCare club! Do we like? #LOBS4LIFe.”
Atkin also thanked celebrity favourite colourist Tracey Cunningham, who was responsible for giving Khloe those blonde tones which look almost white blonde at the tips.
"I chose a fresh ‘fashion lob’ that hits right below the collarbone for Khloé’s new cut. I kept the ends blunt and layered throughout the top for lots of movement and texture," Atkin told People.
The look was finished off with "a lot of sea salt spray", texture paste and a flat iron to create loose soft waves. (Post continues after gallery.)

While her sisters have been experimenting with styles, the third Kardashian has played her cut relatively safe of late, instead focussing on her colour, gradually making her way from dark brown to honey bronde.
