Four pieces of beauty wisdom Kendall Jenner's sisters have bestowed upon her.

With approximately 1.2 million selfies between them, it’s safe to say the Kardashian family knows their stuff when it comes to beauty and, well, looking good.

In an interview with Byrdie, Kendall Jenner spoke about the four beauty rules her sisters (Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, for the uninitiated) have taught her. They’re actually quite simple, considering they’re the family who made the ridiculously fiddly makeup trend contouring famous. (Watch: How to get the Kardashian’s favourite hairstyle, double dutch braids. Post continues after video.)

“My sisters, since they’re a little bit older than Kylie and I, they’ve always wanted to help prevent anything that they’ve gone through when they were our age. So they’re like, ‘Never touch your face, never pick your face, always wash your face, and wear eye cream’,” the 20 year old said.

“They literally give us everything that we should do. So ever since then, we’ve started taking skincare really seriously.”

By seriously, she really does mean seriously. Now an international model where a full face of painted makeup is all in a day’s work, Jenner says washing her face just once is not enough.

"I’ve always been super OCD about washing my face—and that’s even before I started modeling. But it’s definitely enhanced now because I wear so much makeup all the time. I wash my face at least two or three times a day," she said.

As for the rest of her routine - it's pretty low key.

"I’m very simple and lazy with my beauty routine. I wouldn’t say I’m that daring," she said.

Case in point: the only product she uses to do her hair is water.

"My hair is so stick straight and silky so when I sleep with it wet and wake up in the morning, it has this nice texture to it. That’s my version of doing my hair," she said. (Post continues after gallery.)

Known for her more natural makeup compared to her sisters, Jenner loves a brown smokey eye (evident in her Estee Edit palette she's just released.) but is equally likely to be seen in (literally) no makeup makeup.

"I’m cool to go makeup free, but usually to make myself feel better, I’ll throw on a light foundation and some mascara," she said.

Ah, spoken like a true 20-year-0ld who's yet to learn about the fun of pigmentation, wrinkles and pimples.
