Kate Ritchie, Home & Away legend and serial Logie winner, has posed on the front cover of Who magazine. She’s five months pregnant in the shot and she covers 2014’s Most Beautiful People in a glittery gold sequiny dress that appears to have its own waterfall of flowery sequin things flowing downwards all over it. IT’S SPARKLY, OK.
The 35-year-old mama-to-be spoke about the delightful aspects of baby-making too.
“The gift of being able to carry a child is beautiful,” she said. “It’s happened at the right time. Becoming a mother will be a wonderful bonus to who I already am.”
In the interview with Who, she also talks about life post-Summer Bay. “Since leaving the comfort of a job I adored [on Home and Away], I’ve learnt a great deal about myself. I’m glad I had that opportunity before embarking on motherhood.”
Ritchie is married to NRL player and now chef Stuart Webb. She says they’re planning to have “lots of kids running around in a backyard somewhere”.

“It’s happened at the right time. Becoming a mother will be a wonderful bonus to who I already am.” I really liked this quote! Thank you, Kate!
I have a friend who said that she felt she had "lost her identity" when she became a mother ( a comment I did not agree with, having had two kids myself! But is a comment many new mums say, just because it's in the current discourse), and I was thinking, "No you haven't! you are adding to it!!" It's adding to the bricolage of your identity!
See, that is how you do a pregnant celebrity cover. Enough of the Demi Moore naked shot, it's so 1990's. Kate looks utterly captivating.
