Singer Kate Miller-Heidke gave the Mamamia office a special live performance of her song, Caught in the Crowd, in support of National Day of Action Against Bullying last week.
The musician and her partner, Keir Nuttall, sang the song to honour Australia’s largest anti-bullying event of the year.
Caught in the Crowd was written from the perspective of the guilty, passive observer.
The song has made an impact worldwide, with one UK school using it as an educational tool. It also describes Miller-Heidke’s own experiences of being bullied during school.
Kate Miller-Heidke will be performing across Australia, accompanied by the following orchestras:
Sydney Symphony Orchestra – 23, 24, 25 March
West Australia Symphony Orchestra – 31 March
The National Props Orchestra, Canberra – 7 April
Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra – 11, 12 April
