Celeb news: Inside Kate Middleton's royal holiday villa

The Duchess and her baby boy Prince George Alexander Louis have been enjoying a Caribbean holiday with the Middleton family.

And the luxury villa they stayed in? It’s from Where You’d Rather Be, we can tell you that much.

Just have a look at the $1500-a-week place:

We wonder if she might have sneakily worn some above-the-knee dresses while she was on holiday, away from Queen Elizabeth, who wants her to dress a little more demurely.

Here are just 18 outfit suggestions…

There will be One Direction themed restaurants all around the world soon. No, really.

Move over Starbucks, the biggest boy band in the world is moving into coffee. The jingle for One Direction coffee ads will probably be a #1 single, so, you know, get ready for that.

Do we think Harry Styles, who used to work in a bakery when he was a teenager, will pop on an apron and whip up some pastries? One can only hope.

This is what we’ve heard: “The cafés will be very child friendly for younger fans and they’re sure to be stocked up with lots of 1D merchandise,” says a source. “This could become the lads’ version of Planet Hollywood. That chain was backed  by stars such as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1991.”

The first cafe will open in Japan,  then they’re planning to open here in Australia.

The girl who won a $10 date with George Clooney

Yep, you heard correctly. A date with 52-year-old actor/silver fox George Clooney would only set you back 10 bucks. That is, if you buy a raffle ticket and win the greatest prize in the known universe.

Which is exactly what happened to this lovely young girl and her mother (unnamed), who won the chance to accompany the actor to the New York premiere of his new film, Monument Men.

Here’s the lovely photo:

Twelve male models nail the Zoolander Blue Steel expression

It’s the “Fashion Issue” of DETAILS men’s magazine. And where they’d usually have one male model or a celebrity for the cover, this time they treated us to twelve.

Here you go. You’re welcome.

Lady Gaga was “seriously depressed” in 2013

Lady Gaga has opened up about the depression she suffered late last year in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar magazine (pictured, left, on the cover).
The artist behind Born This Way revealed, “I became very depressed at the end of 2013. I was exhausted fighting people off. I couldn’t even feel my own heartbeat. I was angry, cynical, and had this deep sadness like an anchor dragging everywhere I go.

By January 1, I woke up, started crying again, and I looked in the mirror and said, ‘I know you don’t want to fight. I know you think you can’t, but you’ve done this before. I know it hurts, but you won’t survive this depression.”

The mega star who has previously suffered from an eating disorder talked about how she has tried to deal with the depression, explaining “I learned that my sadness never destroyed what was great about me. You just have to go back to that greatness, find that one little light that’s left. I’m lucky I found one little glimmer stored away.”

The ultimate heckler shutdown

Jared Leto is a bit of a star. He’s a singer, an actor, and has received huge accolades for playing the role of a transgender woman living with HIV in Dallas Buyers Club. He was so good in it, he was honoured at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Virtuosos Award tribute last Tuesday.

But his limelight was quickly stolen when a heckler started heckling about his right to win the award.

You can view the showdown here:

If now’s a not so good time to see it though, these are the best bits:

41 secs – heckler shouts out “you will never be Rayon”

49 secs – Leto calls the heckler a drunkard before asking why they are heckling.

58 secs – the response from the heckler, “trans-misogyny does not deserve an award”, adding “you don’t deserve an award for portraying a trans-woman, because you’re a man.”

1:08 – the reply from Leto (and it’s awesome), “because I’m a man I don’t deserve to play that part so you would hold that role against someone who happened to be gay or lesbian, they can’t play a straight part?”

1:30 – the final shut down from Leto – “well then you’ve made sure people that are gay, people that aren’t straight, people like the Rayons of the world would never have the opportunity to turn the tables and explore parts that aren’t central to who they are.”

*pause for applause*

1:39 – he cordially invites the audience member to talk it through after the awards ceremony.

Jared Leto 1, Heckler, also 1 (due to Leto being decent enough to actually talk with him after the ceremony).
