A huge congratulations is in order for Kate Hudson.
Complete with popping helium balloons and confetti, the actress has just announced she is pregnant with her third child, in a gender reveal that Pinterest dreams are made of.
As you do.
The 11 second clip showed her two sons and boyfriend Danny Fujikawa each holding a pin and an oversized balloon which they popped to reveal pink confetti and smaller balloons, announcing the sex of their future child.
Naturally there was a lot of screaming and hugging afterwards, and you can see a pregnant Hudson with a growing baby bump jumping up and down ecstatically.
The Almost Famous and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days actress shared in her Instagram caption that it has so far been a very difficult pregnancy, and “has never been more sick
“It was the most sick first trimester of all my children,” she wrote.
Accounting for her social media absence she said, “Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food Instagram make me queezy and thinking too much about Insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been.”
Speaking of incoming celebrity babies, Anne Helen Petersen has a PhD in Media Gossip and spoke to Mia Freedman about what makes the ‘perfect’ celebrity pregnancy. Post continues after audio.
Now in her second trimester she’s firmly back on the social media bandwagon, declaring she’s “broken through on the other end of that and rediscovering the joys of insta/snap.”
This will be Hudson’s first girl and child with boyfriend and musician Danny Fukikawa. The two met through Hudson’s best friends Sara and Erin Foster, who are Fukikawa’s step sisters.
The Fabletic’s founder also has two sons with previous partners – Ryder Russell Robinson, 14, from her first marriage with The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson and Bingham Hawn Bellamy, six, with her ex-fiance and Muse front man, Matt Bellamy.
