Celeb in 5: Sunday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. Karl Stefanovic is reportedly taking legal action against Cassandra Thorburn.

After confirmation that Karl Stefanovic will be stepping down from his position as the host of Channel Nine’s Today show, there have today been reports that the former breakfast show presenter is preparing to take legal action against his ex-wife, Cassandra Thorburn.

These rumours come from the Sunday Telegraph, who report that the 44-year-old has hired the help of Swaab Attorneys who will be issuing a subpoena to paparazzo, Jonathan Marshall who recorded Thorburn’s vicious remarks against her ex-husband while she was at Sydney Airport. Her remarks were later published in New idea.

In the tape she claims Stefanovic is a “fake person who lives in this fake castle, it’s not real,” amongst other attacks on their wedding plans.

According to the Sunday Telegraphthe presenter’s legal team believe she may have breached a contract in their divorce agreement which states neither party will “say negative things about each other in public”.

Despite this, Thorburn completely denies the quotes she’s been credited as saying, and told Studio 10 earlier this week that they were “made up”.

However, speaking to news.com.au, Marshall has told the publication he “will hand over the material,” which we’re guessing will certainly be very revealing.

More to come.

2. Everything we know about the rumour Georgia Love is heading into the jungle for I’m A Celeb.

We could be seeing a very familiar face on next year’s season of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

The reality TV program takes well-known celebrities and ‘dumps’ them in a jungle somewhere in South Africa, where they face each other in challenges and try to adjust to jungle life.

And one of our favourite Bachelorettes, Georgia Love, is rumoured to be competing, as reported by the Sunday Herald Sun.

The journalist and presenter graced our TV screens in 2016, when she found love on The Bachelorette with her current partner Lee Elliot, and we think she’d fit right in among the nature and wildlife.

Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until the show’s premiere in just over two weeks on January 13, 2019.

According to the Sunday Herald Sun, controversial Real Housewives Of Melbourne star, Janet Roach, disgraced politician, Sam Dastyari, and AFL player, Dermott Brereton, are just some of the other famous faces tipped to be in the running.

Exciting times.

3. Um. Jason Momoa just went full ‘Aquaman’ to crash a couple’s wedding photos.

Is there any man more loved than Jason Momoa in the world right now?

We think not.

The Aquaman and Game of Thrones star performed the haka at his LA movie premiere, graced Aussie screens in pigtails, struck up an adorable bromance with Peter Helliar on The Project, and just been throwing out cool dad-vibes left, right and centre.

Plus, I mean, look at him:

We are obsessed, and he just gave us another reason to be.

Now, photos have emerged of him photobombing a newlywed couple’s wedding shoot, trident in hand, in Hawaii. And they’re everything.

Feast your eyes:

The bride, Katie Meyers, was thrilled to have the star lurking in the back of her photos (I mean, who wouldn’t be?).

“We were taking our wedding photos after the ceremony out on the rocks and Jason Momoa and some of his family and some friends just all walked out on the beach,” she told E! News.

Fate, that’s how.
Katie’s wedding planner Carina Cooper explained to E! News: “There just happened to be a kid on the beach nearby with that trident (in the pic) and Jason asked to borrow it. So he took the trident and went behind the couple in their picture and pretended to be a sasquatch”.

Ahh Jason, never change.

4. So, Kate Hudson’s cutting boards have become a hilarious Christmas meme.

Festive memes are without a doubt one of the best things about Christmas.

Well, that and the fact that it’s universally OK to drink champagne in the morning.

The latest meme doing the rounds that we just can’t get enough of involves Kate Hudson, and boy is it great.

The actress recently featured in an article in People, accompanied by a photo of her posing with her baby girl in her kitchen…But it was what’s behind her that has the internet in a frenzy.

Approximately 8 million cutting boards.

We’re assuming she’s very big into wine and cheese parties.

Here’s how the glorious people of the internet reacted:

Sylvia, 32, told the Daily Telegraph in a statement that although she will no longer read the news on the breakfast program, she will remain within the network in a prime time role.

Karl will also remain with the network, while Peter will part ways with Nine altogether.

To read her complete statement, as well as Channel Nine’s response, head over to our earlier post here.

If Karl sues his wife he will do even more damage to his reputation. She will be able to dish dirt on him in court.

His ex-wife is the only one doing damage to her own reputation. I bet he has more than enough dirt to dish on her in court. She has already been caught stalking Karl and Jasmine, called the police on them during their commitment ceremony, and now it turns out that she did actually give those comments to New Idea, she is even trying to sue to STOP the tapes from coming out because she knows she will be proven as a liar. I think the worst has been done to Karl, there is nothing left to show, it is Cassandra who will come out looking bad, hence her engaging lawyers to block the tapes of comments she said she didn't even make. hmmmm Good on Karl for finally getting a backbone and acting on cray-cray Cassandra.

As a rapscallious child with very strict parents - I can assure you those "cutting boards" with handles (nice euphenism btw) can not only be used for cooking.

Wow. I've heard of waterboarding, but breadboarding sounds only slightly less traumatic.

I forgot to add Mum was a tennis coach with a deadly forehand and said it improved shoulder strength - what are you talking about?
