The Spill: Friday's best entertainment and gossip news.

1. Karl Stefanovic has revealed the gender of his unborn baby with Jasmine Yarlborough.

Karl Stefanovic has shared the sex of his first child with his wife, Jasmine Yarbrough.

Speaking to 9Honey, he said the pair are expecting a girl and expressed his excitement at their May delivery date.

“We are really excited,” he said. “Jasmine looks so beautiful and is handling pregnancy in such an incredible way. Our whole family can’t wait to meet our little princess.”

Karl, 45, and Jasmine, 34, announced their baby news at the end of 2019, with Karl writing on Instagram: “After a great deal of speculation…the rumours are true. ????????” The accompanying image was of a photoshopped image of the Today host at the beach, with a big belly.

Jasmine has been largely quiet about her pregnancy but told The Daily Telegraph that everything has been going well so far, adding that her pregnancy craving of choice was ice cream.

“Yeah I’m good, going well. It’s been a great pregnancy,” she said. “[I’m craving] ice cream, all kinds of ice cream. We’ve got a few names but I think we’ve got to meet the baby first.”

Congratulations!

2. Here’s exactly how it feels to discover your ex is Lady Gaga’s new boyfriend.

Wouldn’t it be weird if your ex was now dating a Hollywood celebrity?

Well, The New York Times opinion editor, Lindsay Crouse has just announced that her ex-boyfriend actually is.

And no, he isn’t dating some D-grade celebrity, he is in fact dating mega superstar, Lady Gaga.

In an article, Crouse shared that she was casually eating some food at her desk when she saw the news explode.

“I was eating bodega grapes at my desk on a recent Monday morning, gearing up to wrangle my inbox, when my phone started buzzing.

“It was an emergency: My ex-boyfriend, I learned, had a new girlfriend. Lady Gaga… While I’d been watching the Super Bowl on television in New York, they were snuggling in her private box at the Hard Rock Stadium. There were the paparazzi as he escorted her away, her pink hair flowing,” Crouse wrote.

If you hadn’t heard, Gaga is currently dating Michael Polansky, a Harvard graduate, who runs the Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy and has been CEO of the Parker Group (a company that runs various charities and businesses) for the past decade.

Both the Institute and the Parker Group are owned by one of the Facebook co-founders, Sean Parker.

Crouse revealed that she dated Polansky for seven years.

“How do you compare yourself with Lady Gaga?” she said.

But she finally figured that they aren’t all that different.

Clouse ended with, “Recently someone sent me a photo of my fiancé and me dancing at a wedding, and I posted it on Instagram. I saw Lady Gaga’s boyfriend in the views, and I realised we’re actually all the same: strangers, smiling on a screen.”

3. Angie Kent calls out Di from Gogglebox for negative comments.

Gogglebox’s Di has repeatedly made negative comments about Angie Kent, and finally, Kent has clapped back.

During Wednesday night’s episode of Gogglebox, Di lashed out at the ex-Bachelorette for her performance on Dancing with the Stars.

“She was on Gogglebox, then went to the jungle, then she became the Bachelorette, and now she’s a dancing star. Spare me.”

“She’s no dancer, that’s for sure,” said Di.

The reality star who has openly shared how hard she found the dancing television show, has taken to Twitter and responded to Di.

Muniz exclusively told People about the special day and said, “Every single moment of Feb. 21 was perfect. From the moment of waking up together and jumping on the bed hyping each other up, to helping our wedding planner with setting things up at the venue, all the way to walking down the isle with my best friend hand in hand with our closest friends and family in attendance. Everything was just so us.”

He continued by explaining how it was the best day of his life to date.

“I always thought it was such a cliché for people to claim their wedding day as the best day of their life, like maybe it was something they had to say. No, my wedding day was literally the best day of my life!”

The couple met four years ago and own a speciality olive oil shop in Scottsdale, Arizona.

5. All the drama that’s unfolded behind-the-scenes since the explosive MAFS dinner party.

It has been a week.

Between a soiled toothbrush, multiple cheating scandals, a faked note and awkward radio interviews, the Married at First Sight drama is out of control, and it’s entirely understandable if you can’t keep up.

What’s of particular interest, however, is everything that’s gone down since this week’s dinner party aired. The dinner party where a) the details of a cheating scandal were publicly aired to all the contestants, and b) one bride revealed that her groom had cleaned her toilet with her toothbrush, and left it for her to use.

The fallout has been predictably intense, with contestants sharing truths that weren’t shared on television, passionate defences of their own behaviour, and other cheatin’ scandals.

And yes, we can confirm that somehow, the off-screen drama has been more intense the what's shown on the telly. We recap it all in our earlier post here.

I've started watching First Dates, and I have to say that in the first two episodes of Season 3 that I've seen, the producers have done such a great job at matching the people with something in common or a common interest that it made the impossible happen: it made me think even LESS of the ability of the MAFS' "experts" in matching up their couples...
