Footage of Karl Stefanovic has been used in a 12 minute video propagating Islamic State ideology, and calling for extremist followers to rally recruits.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the video was released overnight via an encrypted IS communication channel, Telegram.
The footage featured is taken from The Today Show’s coverage of the Paris attacks in November last year, outside Le Carillon bar. The clip in which it features is said to be called “So we will give him a good life”.
While, for most, the revelation your image had been used to promote a terrorist organisation would be a shock, Stefanovic’s response on Twitter this afternoon demonstrates that he is not going to show anyone the whites of his eyes.
“Make sure all you isil bastards tune in Monday,” he wrote. “We are giving away heaps of cash and good times.” He also shared a link the The Daily Telegraph’s coverage of the news.
Also featured in the video is footage of the San Bernadino massacre, US President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande.
