The Voice winner Karise Eden says motherhood has changed her life.

It’s nearly four years since Karise Eden became the first winner of The Voice Australia in 2012. The singer has become a new mum and recently released a new album.

Now, the 23-year-old has opened up about motherhood and how it has changed her life.

"I think it was definitely the piece in me that was missing. And a lot of people have commented on how I have [really] taken to being a mother," she told Today.

"I truly think I've found my little home. And I'm just so blessed," she told the morning show.

Eden's son, Blayden, has just turned one and he's very nearly about to start walking.

"He's just about to take his first steps, we can feel it. Every day is a just a constant 'no, no', 'no, don't touch it', 'no'. But we're getting there," she added.

Karise and her partner brought their son into the world on Christmas Eve last year. Now the singer is taking her little guy on tour with her as she travels around Australia to promote her new album.

"I've got Blayden on the road with me... it's crazy. Backstage isn't exactly the one-year-old friendly zone, but we're getting there. It's good," she said.

The multi-tasking mumma seems to be handling motherhood and singing stardom well.

We can't wait to see little Blayden when he starts walking.
