Kanye West's new album includes an awkward lyric about Khloe Kardashian.

Another Kanye West album launch inevitably brings with it another (huge) wave of controversy.

The 40-year-old rapper has just released his eighth studio album ye and one of his songs features an explicit reference to his sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian, and her (seemingly current) partner, Tristan Thompson.

For a bit of background: In April this year, just days before Khloe gave birth to her daughter True, three seperate videos emerged of 27-year-old basketball player Tristan Thompson cheating with several women. While rumours about a split are rife, it appears they’re still together.

In his song ‘All Mine’, Kanye mocks the scandal between the pair.

“All these thots on Christian Mingle / That’s what almost got Tristan single / If you don’t ball like him or Kobe / Guarantee that b**ch gon’ leave you,” he raps in the song.

Immediately after the release, fans were quick to notice a possible jab on Khloe’s part.

Posting to Snapchat on Friday June 1st, Khloe shared a video in which she talks about True’s sleeping schedule. It’s all pretty mundane chat, Taylor Swift’s song ‘Delicate’ from her album Reputation can be heard playing in the background.

Given Kanye West and Taylor Swift are more or less sworn enemies, Khloe’s song choice doesn’t seem like a coincidence.

Khloe has, however, tweeted her support of Kanye’s latest album in the days since. But should we be trying harder to read between the lines?!

Who knows.
