There's a different side to Jordyn Woods' story and we should be listening.

Jordyn Woods finally shared her side of the Tristan Thompson/Khloe Kardashian cheating story on Red Table Talk at the weekend.

Interviewer and family friend of the 21-year-old, Jada Pinkett Smith, like the rest us, wanted to know exactly what went down the night she and the father of Khloe’s baby True allegedly hooked up.

But while Jada focussed on clarifying the details of where Jordyn was sitting and what kind of a kiss they shared, a potentially game-changing detail managed to sneak through unnoticed by most of us, showing a completely different side to the story.

Describing how she came to be at Tristan’s house party, the model said: “We’re all dancing and drinking. I’m not thinking, ‘I shouldn’t be here’.”

“And that’s my first step where I went wrong.

“And how would I feel if someone close to me is hanging at my ex’s house—the father of my child? I didn’t think about that. That’s the first part of the problem. I should have gone home after the party.”

Wait. Hold up. Did she just say “ex”?

Not as in “ex” after this scandal blew up and Khloe dumped him, but “ex” as in already broken up before the party where the so-called cheating occurred.

It could just be a slip of the tongue, of course. But it does seem to back up a number of reports that Khloe and Tristan had broken up days before Valentine’s Day – if not weeks earlier.

Various entertainment sites have reported that Khloe and  Tristan at the very least didn’t live together, with some saying Khloe hadn’t been to Cleveland, where Tristan is based during the NBA season, in months. E! also reported the pair hadn’t been photographed together since mid-January.

And if Khloe and Tristan had already broken up, it would demote Jordyn’s “crime” from acting as cheating accomplice, to hooking up with a close friend’s ex. It would also shine a whole new light on Khloe’s reactions.

After all, Khloe angrily tweeted after Jordyn’s interview: “You ARE the reason my family broke up!” – which wouldn’t really be true at all if the couple had already split.

Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!

In any case, Khloe has since revised her position to blame Tristan and Tristan alone for the breakdown of their relationship – without letting Jordyn off the hook entirely.

“This has been an awful week & I know everyone is sick of hearing about it all (as am I). I’m a rollercoaster of emotions & have said things I shouldn’t have. Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me, wasn’t such a shock as the first time,” the 34-year-old wrote in a tweet on Saturday.

“What’s been harder & more painful is being hurt by someone so close to me. Someone whom I love & treat like a little sister. But Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.”

If anything, Jordyn’s use of the word “ex” is more fodder for those who believe the scandal is a completely fake publicity stunt.
