Hollywood handsome man Jon Hamm has a hilarious secret: The 43-year-old Mad Men star appeared on the 1990s dating show The Big Date… and lost.
Yes, the excessively good-looking actor-man was rejected twice on the show but we cannot confirm whether this was directly caused by his almost-mullet hairstyle. Keep in mind that this is a 25-year-old Jon Hamm, who was waiting tables and getting about in ridiculous ’90s outfits way before he employed the essential services of a stylist.
You can watch all the best bits of Jon Hamm’s appearance here. We particularly commend Hamm for his use of the word ‘fabulosity’.
Or if you have time – and we cannot recommend this strongly enough – you can watch the whole episode of The Big Date starring Jon Hamm.
The 25-year-old waiter Jon battles it out for an eligible young lady’s hand with a 21-year-old finance student Marco and 28-year-old stunt man Mark. They compete for the affections of a woman called Mary, who bravely wears brown lipstick with a twee little Betty Boop neckerchief, blue eye shadow and a foot fetish.
As we said, FABULOSITY.
They’ve decided not to tie the knot, but they’re one of the longest standing couples in Hollywood. Which is admirable, in an industry where most marriages do not survive.
But because our society – particularly gossip mags – demand explanation from couples who are in love but unmarried, Jon explained the couple’s decision not to walk down the aisle back in 2010 like so:
“I don’t have the marriage chip, and neither of us have the greatest examples of marriages in our families,” he said. “But Jen is the love of my life, and we’ve already been together four times longer than my parents were married.”

Have you checked out John Hamm's buldge?
Are you trying to say that he has an impressive bulge or an impressive budgie?
Just an observation, two of hollywood's most unfaltering relationships involve men who lost their mothers at an early age. Hamm and Hugh Jackman.
Something that I find curious.
