A "selfie" is a photo one takes of one's self. Hence selfie. The baby did not take this photo.

Seriously, so if I am in a photo with three other people and it is not taken by me, it is still a selfie, just a "group selfie". Why are people such negative pedants???
If the person or people in the photo are holding the camera then it is a selfie. Eg I can take a selfie of my friend and I if only I am holding the camera. So that's still a selfie with the baby, as Jodi is holding the camera. Meanwhile I just lost half my braincells from writing that, or caring about it.
I do find it annoying though when MM refers to a photo of a person as a selfie, when it's just a normal photo (taken by someone else) the person has posted. That's not a selfie. That's a photo. Otherwise every photo of a person is a selfie.
