I'm A Celebrity's Jo Beth Taylor is engaged for the third time.

When ’90s TV staple Jo Beth Taylor returned to our small screens for the last season of I’m a Celebrity, Aussies fell in love with the down-to-earth blonde all over again. But sorry, folks – she’s officially taken.

The 44-year-old announced her engagement in this week’s issue of New Idea, telling the magazine that her beau Matt Bennell finally dropped a knee during a recent holiday to Noosa.

“We’ve had this private joke in our relationship where, if we found ourselves in a beautiful place or enjoying a moment, we’d wish we had a ring,” Jo Beth told the magazine.

This time Matt did.

The 46-year-old took Jo Beth on a romantic sunset gondola ride along the Noosa River and pulled out a beautiful purple tanzanite and diamond ring.

"I’d told Matt about my love of tanzanite, which is an African stone. So to have him find this piece and have it made into a ring, it was really thoughtful of him," she said.

The pair had been dating for a year, after first enjoying an eight-year-platonic relationship that began when their children joined the same indoor soccer team.

"Starting off our relationship as very good friends has really cemented our strong partnership," Jo Beth told New Idea.

The revelation confirms social media speculation about the engagement that was fuelled by this Facebook post from April 20, in which Jo Beth used the hashtags "forever" and "big news".

Matt and Jo Beth are yet to choose a date or venue for their nuptials, but say the occasion will likely be staged somewhere exotic.

It will be Jo Beth's third marriage, having first wed guitarist Jamie Jardine in 1992 then tennis player Thomas Muster in 2000.
