Legendary Harry Potter author JK Rowling regrets matchmaking Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. (What’s that sound? It’s millions of Harry Potter fans changing the plots of their erotic fan fiction).

The 46-year-old revealed that she made a mistake pairing them up, and wishes she’d done something drastically different.

Wait for it. Wait for it.

JK wishes Hermione had ended up with Harry, not Ron.

“I wrote the Hermione/Ron relationship as a form of wish fulfillment,” she said. “That’s how it was conceived, really. For reasons that have very little to do with literature and far more to do with me clinging to the plot as I first imagined it, Hermione ended up with Ron.”

She knows how her fans will be effected by the change in plan more than six years after the final book was released: “I’m sorry, I can hear the rage and fury it might cause some fans, but if I’m absolutely honest, distance has given me perspective on that. It was a choice I made for very personal reasons, not for reasons of credibility.”

She’s the first daughter for footballer Chris and blogger Bec Judd. They have a son called Oscar, who’s 2.

Famous people have ordinary-people feuds as well, apparently.

Lentil soup enthusiast Gwyneth Paltrow and her Coldplay singer husband Chris Martin have been squabbling with their neighbours. And it’s become so bad, the couple have decided to put their  mansion North London suburb of Belsize Park on the market. It’s expected to sell for $13mil.

Some of the family’s neighbours have vented to the Daily Mail about celebrities who renovate: “We have had years of their building works. They have taken down trees so they can park their flash cars in the driveway and they put a huge swimming pool in the back garden.”

Another neighbour said: “The trouble is that it will probably be a similar sort that moves in and we’ll have this all over again.”

The Martins bought the home 10 years ago from Kate Winslet for $4.6 million before buying up two houses next door to create a 33-room mansion.

Perhaps while they’re looking for something else, they can stay at their LA pad.

Hair: Besides regular cuts and a good blow-dry, Zeta-Jones says she uses honey and beer to condition her hair. She does warn that your hair will smell like the bottom of a beer barrel for days.
