In the past it was the iconic ‘Rachel’ haircut that Jennifer Aniston was known for. Now, we’re as equally obsessed with her hair, but for its enviable highlights that look just as sunkissed as her skin.
So her answer to what she considers to be her biggest beauty regret has taken us quite by surprise.
The actress was so obsessed, she actually required an “intervention” to stop. (Post continues after gallery.)
Jennifer Aniston: the hair, the woman, the legend.
“I gave myself a sun-tanning intervention a few years ago, where I was basically saying: ‘Let’s just quit while we’re ahead’,” she told People.
“I was not great as a kid with sunscreen. That’s one of my big regrets.”
Having learnt her lesson about spending time in the sun without protection, Aniston now swears by using a sunscreen with at least SPF15+ on a daily basis.

The 46 year old is also a firm believer in the importance of staying hydrated throughout the day.
“I drink water endlessly. Like five [bottles] a day,” she says. “Now it’s just such habit. There are so many lazy water drinkers!”
As she’s grown older, Aniston says she has also realised how important making sure you feel good is – for you and everyone else around you.
"We’re going to feel good about ourselves if we see another woman who is 50 and rocking it. If society is telling you to sit it out after 40, you diminish yourself," she says.
"Believe what you feel. If you feel crappy about yourself, it’s going to show.”
The 46 year-old also revealed that since playing a woman with chronic pain in the 2014 film Cake, her attitude to getting glammed up and wearing makeup has also changed.

"I'm less attached to makeup now," she says. "When I was filming Cake, I didn't wear any."
"I was taken aback by how nervous I got about walking outside and knowing that there was probably going to be a whole group of photographers," she admitted.
"But then I just let go and I didn't care. And over the next five weeks of shooting that, I really loved it. I wasn't attached. If anything, putting on makeup felt so weird."
Aniston says that while her fiance Justin Theroux loves her without makeup, he also appreciates the effort she makes on date nights.
"He likes it when I smoke up my eyes," she said.

Unlike most celebrities, the Friends actress is notably absent from social media.
However if you enjoyed Aniston's brief foray into Instagram by taking over the Living Proof account for a day, don't get too excited - the actress said it was not a "pleasant experience."
"I was so stressed out, sweating bullets," she said. "It was too much pressure. For these Kardashians, it's a career!" (Post continues after gallery.)

However she also confessed she's just as obsessed as we are.
"I sadly am very interested in the Kardashian-Jenner thing," she says. "That's a guilty pleasure for sure."
