At 14 years of age most of us were busy negotiating our way through puberty, awkwardness and social drama. But if this is the case for Jazz Jennings, she’s certainly not letting on.
Jennings has just been named the face of Clean & Clear’s “See The Real Me” Campaign which encourages teenagers to focus on their own natural beauty.

It’s a big deal, not just for Jennings but for all of us. Jennings, who was born male but identified as female from a very early age, is using her position to bring visibility to the transgender community. (Post continues after gallery.)

Talking about her new role with Clean & Clear, Jennings told Huffington Post:
“I feel really honored to be part of The #seetherealme campaign. It’s really amazing, as it helps many teen girls who are struggling. It helps them to find themselves and be true to who they are. I hope they can learn to be brave and not care what other people think about them, because if they just stay positive and spread love, then others will be true friends who will accept them no matter what.”

Last year, Jennings was named one of Time magazine’s 25 most influential teens. She’s co-authored a children’s book about being transgender and has been announced as the star of new TLC show, All That Jazz.
Jennings has worked tirelessly to bring attention and respect to the transgender community and her announcement as Clean & Clear ambassador is sure to continue her efforts. Watch this face.
