How Janet Jackson's 'terrified' nanny sparked an emergency child welfare check.

Janet Jackson lived out one of every mother’s worst nightmares on Saturday.

After receiving a frantic phone call from her 17-month-old son Eissa Al Mana’s nanny, the 52-year-old singer was left with no other option but to call the police and ask them to carry out a welfare check on her child.

Eissa was with his dad and Jackson’s estranged husband, businessman Wissam Al Mana, 43, when his nanny became concerned about Al Mana’s ‘aggressive’ behaviour, reported ET Online.

Speaking to the website, Jackson’s brother, Randy Jackson, said the nanny was so afraid, she had to hide in order to make the horrifying phone call.

“[She was] terrified by his behaviour and locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet,” the 61-year-old said.

After getting off the phone with the nanny, Jackson immediately called police and asked them to do a welfare check on her son.

The Malibu County Sheriff’s Office told the website that police responded to a call at around 10pm at the Nobu Hotel in Los Angeles.

After welcoming Eissa is January 2017, Jackson and Al Mana split three months later.
