Former Olympian and Gold Medallist Jana Pittman is teaming up with her son Cornelis in the hopes that The Amazing Race experience will allow them some quality together.
"I have six children and he's the eldest, so he's definitely not had a lot of mummy time over the last 15/16 years," said Jana.
The Olympian also expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "The show has an amazing reputation so I think very few people would say no... I was very, very honoured to be asked."

Cornelis, in teenage boy fashion, said the thing he is most excited about is "the food."
The mother-son duo are competing on behalf of the Royal Hospital for Women, which is where Jana currently works.
"It's the only women's hospital in NSW that dedicates medical treatment to women and newborn babies," said the mother of six. "Even though it's one of the most prestigious hospitals, it’s greatly underfunded, and we really rely heavily on donations to upgrade and to ensure we’re at the frontline of medical services."
