Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, 40, and his wife Jools, 41, have revealed they are expecting their fifth child in August.
The couple confirmed the news just hours before attending the Eddie the Eagle premiere in London, where Jools’ baby bump was proudly on display.
Jools Oliver has reportedly long wished for another child. “I’m always broody,” she told New! magazine in 2013. “When they’re good, I go ‘Can I have another one?'”
Jamie, however, has been a little more cautious about the idea of having another child. In 2013 he said, “It’s quite hard to have time for each other when you have four kids so I don’t want another excuse for me and Jools not to have time together.” He also said that a vasectomy could be an option.
But it’s hard to hide how much Jamie loves being a dad.
More recently, Jools told the Sunday Times’ Style magazine, “There’s this Moses basket I designed… [that] I haven’t been able to test personally yet. It would be nice to put it to use.” No doubt the couple will be adequately prepared when it comes to clothes for the new addition to their family, with Mrs Oliver running her own children’s clothing line, Little Bird.
The couple initially struggled with fertility issues, with Jools conceiving Poppy Honey using IVF. The other three children, however, were conceived naturally.
Congratulations to the family. We’re not even going to try to place bets on baby names.
