Meet the model who made history at New York Fashion Week.
This is Jamie Brewer. She just became the first model with Downs syndrome in the world to walk at New York Fashion Week.
The American Horror Story actress walked in the Carrie Hammer show as part of the Role Models Not Runway Models campaign.

“Young girls and even young women … [see me] and say, ‘Hey, if she can do it, so can I,'” Brewer told Today. “It’s a true inspiration being a role model for any young women to [encourage them] in being who they are, and showing who they are.”
She also said the black dress worn by Brewer was inspired by her character on American Horror Story.
“Jamie has a beautiful body with a teeny waist and curves, and we went with an A-line,” she said.

As great as it is to see diversity, we all know that it won't really change the type of body types of models used in runway shows. Or maybe I'm too cynical.
