The Mamamia Women's Network is looking for interns.

Mamamia is looking for interns.

If you are a university student looking to gain invaluable experience working in media, we’d love to meet you.

You will be part of a structured program and will have the opportunity to work closely with Mamamia’s senior staff and editors.

We’re currently offering intensive internships in either Melbourne or Sydney, or you can intern one day per week in Sydney for a 3 month period.

As a multi-faceted media company, we are excited to offer internships in three areas of digital publishing: editorial, video and design.

Have a way with words?

If you’re interested in joining us as an Editorial News Intern, please submit your application here, including a copy of your CV, a sample of your work as well as three article pitches that fit in with the tone and style of Mamamia.

In these articles, please include:

  1. Headline
  2. Three social media sells (short sentence to make people ‘click’)
  3. A brief blurb about what each of these articles would entail

Are you a budding videographer?

If you’re interested in joining us as a Video Intern, please submit your application here, including a copy of your CV as well as a cover letter outlining why you want to intern with the Mamamia video team, and pitch a video idea that you think would work for the Mamamia audience.

Your video idea needs to include:

  1. A title
  2. A short synopsis describing the content of the video and the visual look and style

Got a knack for all things design?

If you’re interested in joining us as a Design Intern, please submit your application here, including a copy of your CV, a cover letter detailing why you’d be a great fit, and 2-3 examples of your best work.

Applications  for all internships close Friday the 17th of March.

Can I ask, why do they have to be degree qualified? What about people who'be done Certificate IVs or Diplomas in writing? (Cert IV or Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing, for instance)?

Guest 8 years ago

Obviously a degree is better than a cert or dip.

Hello 8 years ago

We definitely welcome applicants with Cert IV's and Diplomas. Please feel free to apply

Is it open to men as well? You have 100 staff and only 3 are men so I thought it was a pertinent question.

Hello 8 years ago

Of course its open to men :)

The headline above literally said womens network so I felt I could not apply.

The headline suggests otherwise
