From Domenica to Kerri-Anne Kennerley: Meet the new 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' cast.

Season Nine of Australia’s favourite televised celebrity torture is back!

If you're feeling a little out of the loop, fear not, we've got you covered with absolutely everything you need to know about the 2023 I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here cast.

Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris are honestly national heroes at this point, and they'll be hosting again this year.

But this will likely be Dr Chris' last season on I'm A Celebrity, after he recently signed a new television contract with Channel Seven...

Anyway, let's get into who exactly the new camp mates are, from television greats to incredible athletes and a very iconic reality TV star...

Who's in the I'm A Celebrity AU cast?

Every year, I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! tries to cast an eclectic mix of celebrities; from models and reality stars to sporting legends and comedians. Previous winners of the show include the likes of Casey Donovan, Richard Reid, Dylan Lewis and Abbie Chatfield.

So who's going into the jungle this time? Who would we all love to see squirm in the wild? Basically anyone who's famous, tbh. 

Reality TV star Domenica Calarco.

For any MAFS fan, this woman needs no introduction.

The 2022 season of the hit reality TV show often centred on the drama surrounding contestant Domenica Calarco. Nowadays, she is a content creator and has her own successful podcast with MAFS co-star Ella Ding.

She said to news.com.au that she is keen for I'm A Celebrity because it will likely spark far less drama.

"I'm actually excited about that fact that it's completely unfiltered, unedited. They don't have time to manipulate storylines and whatever. So that's something that really excites me about the show."

She will be competing to win the show's prize money for the Leukaemia Foundation, following her uncle's death to blood cancer five years ago.

Ahh, another familiar face. And perhaps a bit of a controversial one at times, too.

This loud and proud English expat has been a staple of Aussie media since 2003. We know him as one of the OG judges on Australian Idol, where he often was the one to hand down rather cutting critiques...

Since his Idol days, Dicko has gone on to do a bunch more TV opps. He's also a major player in the music recording industry, has done some stellar theatre work and has produced live music festivals. And now I'm A Celebrity.

He's been in headlines this past week following an incredibly candid interview on Jessica Rowe’s podcast, The Jessica Rowe Big Talk Show, about his past addiction to fame, and we're excited to see how this reformed man handles the jungle.

Famed chef Anna Polyviou.

For any foodie fans out there, Anna Polyviou is a familiar face, arguably most recognisable thanks to her iconic pink hairdo.

She's know for her out-of-the-box creations, mostly desserts. And she's done plenty of TV gigs, including being a regular guest on MasterChef Australia. She has also won the hearts on Family Food Fight, Snack Masters, The Cook Up With Adam Liaw, Everyday Gourmet, Studio 10... need we go on?!

Polyviou is also a cookbook author, so it looks like this year's cast members are guaranteed a good feed while in the jungle, even if the ingredients supplied are a little peculiar.

KIIS FM Drive comedic duo Will & Woody are wildly popular in the radio scene and were also fan favourites when they co-appeared on Celebrity Apprentice recently. But this time around, Woody will be going it alone on I'm A Celebrity.

Speaking on his own radio show, Woody revealed, "There are mixed emotions to be heading into the jungle. I’m obviously excited to be getting a free flight to South Africa and becoming best mates with some cool celebs, but there is also the reality of being away from my girls for an extended period of time.

"I haven't been away from [my daughter] Rem for over three days since she was born, so I really don't know how I'm going to handle that."

We have a renowned actress, too!

Debra Lawrence is an AACTA and Logie Award-winning actor, who has worked successfully in theatre, film and television in Australia.

Just some of her highlights include tackling the lead role of Pat in the series The Fast Lane, the long-running role of foster mum Pippa on Home and Away, and the role of Rose in Please Like Me, the critically acclaimed series by Josh Thomas. 

Other hit roles include her work on Five Bedrooms, Fisk, Neighbours, Get Krack!n, Rosehaven, True Story With Hamish & Andy, The Doctor Blake Mysteries and House Husbands.

And now she can add I'm A Celebrity to the mix.

TV presenter, comedian and media man Peter Helliar.

From his leading role on The Project from 2014 to 2022, to his comedy and acting roles, Peter Helliar is an all-rounder on the Australian media scene. Most recently, he has been screenwriting, producing and co-starring in feature films and television series.

He's also a much-loved children's author as the man behind the series Frankie Fish, which he dedicated to his three "champions", children Liam, Aidan and Oscar.

He said that after quitting The Project late last year, the call came for him to try I'm A Celebrity.

"I thought, if I say no to the first thing that comes across that‘s outside my comfort zone, I just didn't like what that meant, heading into this new part of my career," he said.

You betcha Channel 10 is doing god's work, getting Kerri-Anne Kennerley into the jungle!

She is undoubtedly one of Australia's best-known media personalities. A favourite of Australian television audiences for more than 50 years, many remember her time as co-host of Good Morning Australia, where she stayed for more than a decade.

It was not long before the television executives came calling again with KAK hosting her own show, Midday with Kerri-Anne, for the next 10 years. She was also a panellist on Studio 10 from 2018 to 2020.

Kennerley is known for her sometimes-divisive opinions, so her time on I'm A Celebrity is bound to make headlines. And according to the reports so far, the contract trhis media maven has with Channel 10 was quite hefty, with plenty of money reportedly involved. 

Overseas reality TV star Nathan Henry.

Hey, Geordie Shore fans... IT'S NATHAN!

Nathan Henry is one of MTV's most popular reality television stars. The public first fell in love with Henry as a cast member on Geordie Shore – now one of the most popular shows in the history of MTV outside the US – thanks to his time on a bunch of other reality TV shows, like The Challenge.

Although his time on Geordie Shore was spent drinking, partying and generally being a loose unit along with his rowdy castmates, Nathan has also had some really powerful moments on TV, like his decision to come out as gay.

Plenty of his fellow castmates have also come Down Under to be on I'm A Celebrity AU, including Vicky Pattison and Charlotte Crosby.

With more than one million Instagram followers, Nathan has quite the fan base. As for how he plans to win the show, he told New Idea, "I will try and make everyone like me. If I have to flirt with people, I'll flirt with everyone in there!"

Now we're getting to the athletes!

Harry Garside is a champion boxer who rose to prominence at the Tokyo Olympics after winning the men's lightweight bronze medal – Australia's first Olympic boxing medal in three decades.

Garside is also well-known for his social media profile, where he often pushes back against gender stereotypes. Many would recognise him for his amazing outfits, from nail polish, fashion runways, skirts, dresses and more.

"There are a lot of people out there who feel like they have to be something because they're male or female. I'm all about just being different," he said to Channel 10.

 Next up we have Liz Ellis. 

One of Australia's highest-profile elite athletes and one of the most successful netballers ever, Ellis was captain of the Australian Netball Team and Sydney Swifts, and surpassed the record for most test matches played for Australia. Like, wow.

She's now known for her broadcast roles, regularly appearing on various panel, quiz and chat shows on television, as well as numerous radio programs as a general sports commentator and presenter.

Below Deck star Aesha Scott.

Below Deck fans would know this New Zealand pocket rocket.

Aesha Scott is a reality TV personality, best known for her time on Below Deck: Mediterranean and Below Deck: Down Under.

She is quite the comedian as well, and has built up a major online following for herself. Known for her entertaining antics, side-splitting sense of humour and unmistakable voice, Aesha has fast become one of the most popular stars in reality television.

Aesha told news.com.au she's under "no illusions" that her fame level isn't as high as some of her fellow contestants, but is keen to win Aussie audiences over.

"I am very aware that I'm probably going to be the most Z-list celebrity going in. The reason that I'm doing all of this TV stuff is my dream is to become a TV host. So I would really love to grow my following in Australia because I think it would be a really cool place to get my first hosting jobs."

Bianca Hunt is a proud Kamilaroi, Barkindji, Ballardong and Whadjuk woman. The 27-year-old has an established career in the Australian media space, having been a host of the 2019 National NAIDOC Awards, a guest on The Drum in the past, and a co-host of Indigenous TV network NITV’s Yokayi Footy program.

She's also a leader in the business world. In 2021, she launched her own talent agency, AGNT BLAK, aimed at providing a safe environment for First Nations media personalities, speakers and influencers to thrive in mainstream spaces.

Hunt's next project will be co-hosting Going Places with Ernie Dingo, which she is excited to share soon.

AFL great Adam Cooney.

Last but certainly not least, we have AFL great Adam Cooney.

This 37-year-old retired AFL star played for the Western Bulldogs and Essendon, and won the Brownlow Medal in 2008.

Since his retirement, Adam has immersed himself in the media landscape, providing special comments for AFL Nation, regular segments on SEN and SEN SA, whilst also holding roles with SuperFooty, Channel 7, and Ladbrokes. 

As for how he'll go in the jungle, he says the worst thing he's ever eaten (so far) is "an oyster". So he's bound to have an interesting time on I'm A Celebrity...

While things in camp are just kicking off, we can likely expect a few intruders to enter the jungle over the course of this season, too...
