A Brisbane family are demanding answers after their 9-year old son died on Monday – the morning after he was released from hospital.
Hunter Marr’s father Matthew said he had pleaded with hospital staff not to discharge his son, who was still coughing badly and struggling to breathe in the hours before he left hospital.
His death is under investigation by the coroner and the hospital.
Asthma claimed the lives of 378 Australians in 2011, according to the National Asthma Council of Australia.
The Marrs’ grief has triggered an outpouring of generosity with a Go Fund Me fund-raising page set up to help the family with funeral and ongoing costs.

You know what else results in "creating an unhappy home, as they rush their family time and miss key family events"?
Dads who work long hours, work all night to make deadlines, work away from home, are too tired to participate in children's lives because of work. Where are the recommendations that work/family responsibilities are distributed evenly in a family instead of putting the onus on the mother for the family's happiness? This "study" is ridiculous and unfair.
Why is it alleged rapist even thought he has admitted guilt? are we reluctant to label men and call it what it is.
Because some people admit guilt for plea bargaining when they're innocent since the U.S court system is corrupt as hell. And some admit guilt even when innocent, like how you get people faking they are the murderer.
It's because he pleaded guilty to “endangering the welfare of a child" (by dumping her in the snow) not to the rape, so he's only admitted and been convicted of being a dickhead, not a rapist.
Archy, if someone pleaded guilty and was convicted of rape then they would be called a rapist, not an alleged rapist. Convicted is convicted - the law doesn't convict but allow for presumption or suspicion that the person was probably innocent but trying to bargain a lesser sentence.
Also, it is incredibly hard to be convicted for rape, so it would be incredibly rare (i've never heard of it happening) for someone to falsely confess to rape to get a reduced sentence.
thank you for clearing that up :) with common sense!
Rape is such a sensitive issue, my mother worked for a sexual assault hotline for a few years and it really affected her the things she would hear and have to counsel. There needs to be some new technology (?) discovered to help convict rapists. It affects not only the person raped but often their entire family, and for the rest of their lives. There should be much harsher (life altering) penalties also as unfortunately most are repeat offenders.
