Hugh Jackman reminds fans to be sun safe after having his sixth skin cancer removed.

Hugh Jackman has once again reminded his fans of the importance of sun protection, revealing he recently had his sixth skin cancer surgically removed.

The Aussie actor told Instagram followers on Tuesday that a bandage on his nose was the site of “another basal cell carcinoma” removed by doctors.

“Thanks to frequent body checks and amazing doctors, all is well,” Jackman said, telling fans the wound looks worse with the dressing on.

Jackman concluded with a simple piece of advice in the form of a hashtag: “#wearsunscreen”.

It’s a message the 48-year-old has sent to fans multiple times in recent years as he has skin cancers removed.

It was only a year ago that he posted a selfie of his bandaged nose, this time more urgent in his plea to followers.

“PLEASE USE SUNSCREEN and get regular check-ups,” the Logan star wrote.

He described the image as “an example of what happens when you don’t wear sunscreen”.

Celebrities throw around a lot of questionable advice, but we can all agree the Wolverine star’s is worth following.
