‘Hey, I just met you…’
Remember when Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ ruled the airwaves? Or when you couldn’t go to a nightclub without hearing the ‘Macarena’?
The only thing more annoying than the songs themselves was having them stuck in your head FOR DAYS.

If that doesn’t work, the next best thing is to embrace it – at full volume. This involves listening to the song all the way through and if you can handle it, singing along. Scientists call this the “saturate and seek closure” method.
It sounds painful, but definitely less painful that catching yourself singing ‘So, Call Me Maybe?’ midway through the chorus.
If neither of those work, you have one more option. You need to listen to what researchers call your “cure” song. It shouldn’t be so catchy that it replaces the one you are trying to get rid of, but something a bit dull. Like a national anthem or Justin Bieber’s ’Baby, Baby, Baby, Oh, My, Baby, Baby, Baby….’
