We can all agree, one of life’s biggest stresses is ensuring your kids’ safety in and around cars.

Mamamia Women’s Network (MWN) teamed up with Holden, to conduct a research study amongst Australian mothers and their attitudes around driving habits and safety concerns. Results showed that mothers are constantly worrying about their child’s safety around cars, roads, driveways and car parks. So in response to these shared concerns, the MWN and Holden have developed the ‘Hold my Hand’ campaign to raise awareness and provide support for road and car safety issues.

Central to the campaign is the ‘Hold my Hand’ magnet. It has a paw the size of a small hand and the words ‘Hold my Hand’. It’s aimed to be placed outside of the car and encourage children to place their hand on the magnet and stay close to the vehicle when the car is being loaded/unloaded. The same way that they learn to hold an adult’s hand when crossing the road, they will learn to stay close to the car to avoid accidents.
