Ever wanted a sneak peek into the supermodel life? Look no further.
Former Victoria Secret runway star Heidi Klum has put her Los Angeles home on the market for a whopping 25 million US dollars.
Heidi is saying “auf wiedersehen” to the 8-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 1142.7m² Mediterranean-style villa in one of L.A.’s most prestigious neighbourhoods.
The home had been sitting on the market vacant for about 2 years before Heidi purchased it, said listing agent Lynn Teschner of The Agency. When Heidi visited, she was worried about how long the home had been empty because she had 4 small children and wasn’t looking for a fixer-upper.
But Heidi said in a statement that she fell in love. “I honestly felt that I was no longer in Los Angeles and instead was strolling the gardens of a home in the south of France.”
After buying the house for $14.2 million she spent several million fixing it up – restoring doors, windows and thresholds, designing her dream closets, and adding home technology and security.
“By the time we finished,” she said, “the house was as incredible as its grounds and views. Sometimes I sit in the garden, drinking my coffee, looking at the Pacific, and really feel it is a little piece of heaven.”
The home has an infinity-edge pool and spa, a koi pond, a formal rose garden, a rolling lawn for golf putting and driving, a children’s playhouse and slide, and “secret gardens.” All with stunning ocean views.
Inside, the dining room was imported from Paris where it was a private dining room in a hotel and the library features an ornate wooden bookcase that came from Napoleon’s French country home.
Well worth the multi million dollar price tag!
