You’ll be wanting to try these healthy recipes ASAP.
We’re coming off the back of Christmas, New Years, Australia Day and summer in general. We’ve all over-indulged and it’s now our mission to squeeze back in to those jeans from last year.
We want to be healthy (without cutting out all food groups) and we still want to enjoy mealtimes and getting creative in the kitchen.
So sure, salads and fruit and green smoothies will all be high on our grocery lists in the coming months – but that also just sounds plain boring (who wants to be munching on celery sticks for the rest of summer?) Nope, I’m out.
But I don’t want to be out, I want to be in – I want to kick-start some healthy habits without sacrificing my enjoyment of delicious food and drinks. I want you guys to be in this too.
So, I dug around and did a little research and discovered there are some delicious health food combos out there that you’ve probably never thought of, but will want to whip up right away.
So without further ado, here are some strange, amazing and delicious healthy food combinations that you never would’ve expected.
Just as an FYI, this post is sponsored by SodaStream. But all opinions expressed by the author are 100 per cent authentic and written in their own words.
1. Vegemite and avocado.
This combination is simple but effective. It’s great to have for any of your three meals during the day (yep, it works for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and can also be a really solid filler in between meals to stop you snacking on bad things.
This combo is an absolute winner because it combines salty with creamy (and squeeze a little lemon on top and you’ve got zest in there as well).
